Let’s Line this Route on Tuesday, December 8th at 10:45 am in honor of Frank!
The private funeral for Frank Kumor is scheduled for 10AM on Tuesday, December 8th at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel. Frank was a loving husband, a proud father, a successful business owner, a dedicated Bellevue School Board member and a great friend to many. Frank was a pillar of the Bellevue Community and while a public funeral is obviously not an option at this time, it is important that Bellevue has an opportunity to pay its respects to this great man and show support for his family.
With the blessing of the Kumor family, the City of Bellevue and the Bellevue Public Schools along with a great amount of assistance from the Bellevue Police and Fire Departments have organized a funeral procession route that will give members of the Bellevue Community a chance to wave goodbye as Frank takes one last drive past some of his favorite places before he is laid to rest at the Bellevue Cemetery.
The funeral procession will start at approximately 10:45AM at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel and head towards Mission Avenue and past his beloved Erwin’s Jewelry Store where he spent many days and nights serving his customers and friends in a way that Bellevue became accustomed to. From there the route will take Mr. Kumor past Mission Middle School, Central Elementary School, Bellevue East High School, Bellevue Junior Sports Association and the Bellevue Public Library before heading toward the Bellevue Cemetery. Frank loved the Bellevue Public School District and was one of the biggest supporters of the youth of our community.
Please look at the attached map and find a spot where you can stand to honor Frank and his family as they make this procession. Frank was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and loved his country as much as he loved his community, so waving an American Flag or holding up a homemade sign would be most appropriate and strongly encouraged. This route is spread out enough so all social distancing guidelines and recommendations can be followed, but please wear a mask if you are within 6 feet of others.
Please take time to join us for a few minutes on Tuesday morning along this route and share this with anyone else you think may be interested. Bellevue has lost a great man but we were fortunate to know him and have him in our community.
