About Deborah
Deborah Kehoe is an accomplished professional designer and educator. With 35 years of experience, she brings ingenuity and merit to her clients. Throughout her career, she has developed the ability to hone in on a customer’s needs to craft excellence and build brand awareness. She is known for her creative problem solving, strong design and production skills, along with quality cust
omer service. Deborah has a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts. Alongside her studies, she spent much of her time sharpening her skills in painting. It was fortuitous that she found this exceptional school in Philadelphia, an outgrowth of the design program from Basel, Switzerland. Having studied with some of the best educators in design, she learned about form, color and typography. Starting her career in Boston, she worked for some of the most reputable designers and firms. She handled such accounts as Raytheon, Harvard Art Museums, and worked on supporting many shows at WGBH/PBS Boston. Much of her time was focused on branding, along with designing books and publications, for museums. She also concentrated on creating signature annual reports for Corporate 100 accounts. Since then, Deborah taught design at The Art Institute of Boston, Clark University and Rhode Island School of Design. She has been teaching design, drawing and painting as a senior adjunct design professor at Champlain College in the CCM Division since 2009 and is currently teaching a design class at Saint Michael's College in their new Art & Design Department. Over the years, she has helped many corporate, small businesses and non-profit organizations with their communication design needs as well as helped many start-up companies establish a niche and grow their businesses substantially. Her client groups are quite diverse, serving clients in: Education, Healthcare, Software, Retail, Publishing, Banking, Architecture, Engineering and many others. A passionate native of Vermont, she returned and formed Kehoe + Kehoe Design Associates, Inc. in 1990 with her brother David. Since then, she created and led her team in developing award-winning graphic design solutions for strategic marketing and communications projects including branding, promotional literature, advertising materials, displays, packaging, websites and branded environments. Recently, Deborah has changed the name of the business to Deborah Kehoe Design. She continues to work with her clients on building and extending their brands working across all mediums. Deborah and her husband, David, live in a restored historic 230 year old farmhouse/general store in Charlotte, Vermont and their two dogs, two cats and ten hens and of course a rooster. In her free time, she follows her passion of teaching, cooking, gardening, knitting, and painting. Her design projects include brand development, print design, packaging, web design and environmental design. Deborah has strong relationships with writers, photographers, marketing professionals and web engineers, teaming with the most appropriate person for the task and client.
