ChatGPT ads are officially moving into self-serve.

OpenAI launched a beta Ads Manager where advertisers can create, manage, and measure campaigns directly in ChatGPT.

This is a big shift.

Advertisers can set budgets, upload ads, manage campaigns, and track results like impressions, clicks, spend, CTR, CPC, CPM, and conversions.

I haven’t tested it yet, but this is definitely one to watch.

My take: ChatGPT ads won’t work exactly like search or social ads.

People use ChatGPT differently.

They ask questions.

They compare options.

They explore decisions.

That means marketers will need to think differently about intent, messaging, and where ads show up in the conversation.

This could become a major new ad channel.

And the early learnings will matter.
