Like, I didn’t just work there, I was Chuck E. in the costume, sweating for an entire summer. And I had an entire dance routine to Prince’s Raspberry Beret that I did on the stage during birthday parties, And you know, when kids, it’s their birthday, they’re jerks. They run around jacked up on pop and pizza and cake, and they just think they can do anything because it’s their birthday. And Chuck E. was often the victim of their abuse. Yeah, it happened. One time I fell off the stage onto an entire birthday party’s table. Cake went flying, pizza went flying, and I never took the costume off because, you know, the magic of Chuck E.
