On Tuesday, Melissa was in Delaware with club leaders from CMAA's Philadelphia & Vicinity Chapter, facilitating a workshop at the beautiful Wilmington Country Club.
A pain point that resonated with many in attendance was that it's rarely a lack of effort when clubs, member-based organizations or associations struggle. It's lack of clarity and alignment. Teams are busy, lean and being pulled in many different directions.
If you're in a similar boat, start by asking these questions:
→ Does your messaging actually reflect what today’s members value?
→ Can members see themselves in your experience—not just your amenities?
→ Are you making it easy for them to engage in the ways they expect?
→ Can you embrace AI tools to streamline processes and free you up to build the human relationships?
The overarching concepts are industry agnostic. Bottom line? To make a change, we need to work through:
👉 Clear positioning
👉 Thoughtful communication
👉 Systems that support consistency (without losing the human touch)
