🎂 October issues are here! 🎂 We've changed up a few things ...

Haven turns 10 this month so we made a few changes to our look and then we HAD to have cake, right? This cake was not only beautiful, but it was absolutely delicious! This beauty was made by a local baker, Shay’s Sugar. (IG , FB: Shay’s Sugar) Definitely check her out the next time you need a fancy cake, she’s the best!

We’re so proud of our very own Lyndsey for receiving the Public Service Award from the Florida Public Relations Association’s Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter!

Thank you fprapolk for recognizing such a great cause and for donating products to continue stocking the pantries!

The Polk Period Pantry, is an initiative dedicated to providing free, easy access to essential period products for anyone who needs them. Plus, they are ridding of the stigma surrounding menstrual topics.

We hope that everyone continues to give, so these pantries can provide for years to come. If you’d like to learn more about how you can get involved follow them on social media polkperiodpantry!

Live & Loud is back at First Friday at The Ritz! Doors open at 6 pm and this month’s lineup is another don't-miss group of artists.

Starting out strong with Edan Archer, a singer-songwriter bringing their original works!

Next up is The Stargazer Lilies! They're right here from Winter Haven and ready to keep the show lively!

Local Pain Punk will make sure you get your rock n roll in as they take the stage at 8:50.

And last but not least, we have Loren Cass! They’ll be closing out the show with some emo music.

We are sure Winter Haven has never seen performances like this before, so come check it out. Tickets are only $5, and everyone is welcome! 🌈 🎸

🎉🏆They're here! The magazines have arrived! It’s time to announce the winners of the 2026 Best of Haven & Best of LKLD Awards! 🥂

💖Thank you to everyone who voted. We collected votes from June 1 through July 26. This is a “people’s choice” award, no nominations, no rounds of play. Our readers wrote in the names of the businesses that they felt were the best of the best. We received thousands of votes, thank you all for taking the time to promote your favorites!

⚾Thank you to the Lakeland Flying Tigers! I want to give a huge thank you to Heather Monohon and Elizabeth Tanski for helping us coordinate with the team. Thank you to Jose Guzman, Maddox Long, and Angel De Los Santos for being our models for the day. And thank you to Southpaw for getting goofy with us. The Flying Tigers were so nice to work with, thank you for being up for anything we suggested! 🐅

Next month, we’ve got a big surprise coming! Haven turns 10, and we’ve decided to change up our look for both magazines! (I hope you like it!)
