Today the world watches as the United States welcomes a new President and Vice President into the White House. 🇺🇸

As a little girl I dreamed of seeing a woman President, but never considered a woman Vice President. But today I’m excited to see Kamala Harris become not only the first woman VP, but the first woman of color and the daughter of an immigrant. She’s overcome many barrier and I hope that those looking up to her are inspired and we continue to knock out these barriers for those who are coming behind us.

4 years ago, I watched ’s concession speech. I was a young woman feeling lost, hurt, sad, and disappointed for so many reasons.

It was more than just hashtags like and . It was about a fear that life for myself, and others who don’t have my privilege, would lose the ground that lifetimes had been spent trying to gain.

Tonight, I’m watching Vice President Elect speak and my heart is so full. 💙 We are seeing what happens when little girls dream and how much more we dream when we see other women gain these monumental moments.

Women gained the right to vote 100 years ago, but this is just the tipping point of what we can do with that vote.

I’ve tried many planners over the years, and while I love digital organization 👩🏻‍💻using a paper planner speaks to my creative soul. 📒

I was introduced to The Happy Planner around Christmas 2016 and I’ve loved the system since then. I have a large collection of stickers and accessories, but my love for paper planning is more than cute stickers and planners.

🔹I started my company, Modern Laine in 2015. Then I focused on business administration, data entry, and social media scheduling for local entrepreneurs. 👩🏻‍💻 I’m now working to grow into a social and digital media management company.

🔹I graduated 🎓 with a Bachelor of Arts in English from College of Charleston in 2017 and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University or Florida in May.

🔹In my free time I love to watch different fiction and nonfiction crime shows. 🔎 Some of my favorites are Bones, Castle, Poirot, Murdoch Mysteries, and Forensic Files.

🔹I’m a passionate collector of Vera Bradley purses and work part time as a sales associate. I also love my Happy Planner.

WHAT’S IN MY BAG? 👛

I love watching “What’s in my bag” videos on YouTube. It’s fun to see how people stay organized and what they consider “essential” in their everyday lives.

Right now, I’m carrying a Mini Carson Shoulder bag in from my favorite brand, Vera Bradley. It’s a small crossbody so I can stay handsfree whenever I go out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m also stocked up on my hygiene essentials with two different types of hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few other essentials in my purse are my VB cloth mask, hand lotion, my own pen, wet wipes, and my AirPods.

A new sticker is coming to Instagram! I’m excited to test it out and see how engagement is.

Maybe this means we will see stickers for physical/in-person events soon.

Facebook's messaging integration has taken another step, with a new test of an Instagram/Messenger function, while Instagram's also testing a new sticker type.
