⁣⁣
Dropps is cutting down on pollution in our water, reducing the carbon footprint of everyday items, and doing it all with non-toxic, thoughtful ingredients by designing eco-friendly dishwasher and laundry detergent pods. You can feel good about making a difference without ever having to adjust your habits. Need fragrance-free, have sensitive skin, need odor control for your three rescue dogs? No problemo. Dropps has manufactured laundry and dish detergent pods for every need.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But why switch? You're already using pods. They dissolve. No biggie, right? Wrong, here's what other detergent pods are doing behind-the-scenes:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👕If you hate doing laundry, we're about to hit you with something terrifying - 30 billion loads of laundry are done each year. That's a lot of laundry and a lot of detergent. The average jug of laundry detergent is good for 32 loads. But then what? It becomes a clunky, sticky, useless hunk of plastic that winds up in a landfill. Same goes for the plastic containers your pods usually come in.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Okay, we can't wear dirty clothes. ❌ We've got to clean our clothes with something. That's where Dropps comes in. Using plant-based ingredients🌱, no animal testing🐰, and recyclable and compostable cardboard packaging📦 to eliminate single-use plastic you can feel good about how you're cleaning your clothes without contributing to plastic waste.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What's the catch? Dropps are currently only available via subscriptions or online orders. 🖥That's right, you can't swing by the store to grab a box on laundry day when you just realized you were out of pods. But their flexible plans give you the ability to adjust your subscription as needed.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What are your thoughts? Ready to switch out your current detergent for it's healthier, cleaner alternative? Let us know in the comment section below. ⬇️

Shoutout to for being good.

Phil Ross of Mycoworks is creating a Fine Mycelium™ material, Reishi™ with his team. This is a sustainable alternative to leather.

Leather is not a sustainable product and until now we haven't had a realistic solution to replace it.

Mycelium from mushrooms can be used to create durable materials that resemble a sort of leather. This can then be used to build furniture and even, eventually buildings.

Usage of this material is still being studied and experimented with. But as fungi catch on as a stellar alternative to many of our wasteful needs, it will become more mainstream.

Shoutout to for being good.

Tag someone who uses for anything and everything❗️⁣

is tackling single-use items and waste in our oceans 🌊 by making a series of the last items you'll ever use. This includes the LastSwab to replace cotton swabs and the LastTissue to replace tissues. If it's the last one you'll ever use it's the last one you'll ever need to spend money on. It's a small investment on your part that will save you money while helping the environment.⁣

Cotton swabs are tiny, though. They can't possibly be that big of a deal. Wrong. They're a 1.5 billion produced everyday sort of big deal. Here's what you need to know:⁣

❌ Italy has banned swabs with plastic stems and UK is proposing a similar ban. Why? People flush these down the toilet 🚽 after use and they end up in our water 💦, in the bellies of marine animals🐠, and hurting our environment🌍. Doctors constantly say not to put anything small in your ear (ahem, cotton swabs) and we do it anyway. If you're going to disobey your doctor's orders you should at least not put the planet at risk too.⁣

LastSwab is doing its part to fix this problem. If someone uses cotton swabs almost every day and then they suddenly stop, that's one less person contributing to single-use cotton swab waste. Now imagine this on a larger scale - that's what LastSwab is doing.⁣

What are your thoughts? What single-use items do you wish you used less of? Share them below in the comments.

Shoutout to for being good. HiBAR is there for you on days you want to say yes to good hair days but no to all the plastic.⁣

More than 552 million empty shampoo bottles find their final resting place in a landfill every year. That's a lot of plastic. And it'll be sitting there for the next 500 years breaking down. No bueno.⁣

HiBAR is ditching the plastic bottle in favor of a solid bar that ships to you in compostable paper. More products are moving in this direction. They have shampoo and conditioner bars for every type of hair, saving the integrity of our hair without risking the integrity of our planet.⁣

But are they any good? Shampoo bars have been under fire for being, well, not shampoo. If you're not a hair person here's a tidbit to know - shampoo and soap are very different. It has to do with pH. Your hair is going to notice the difference if you use just any old 'shampoo' bar and reward you with an itchy scalp and dry brittle hair. Luckily, while some shampoo bars are not completely legit, HiBAR is made to match the quality of luxury brands. But what do you think? Have you tried HiBAR before? Let us know.⁣

We could use more salons promoting plastic-free alternatives. Share this post with your to help keep the quality in shampoo and the plastic out - even at the salon.

Shoutout to for being good.

is kicking single-use plastic out of the picture by targeting the infamous plastic baggie. These reusable options cut back on clutter building up on our planet 🌍 while keeping you organized. No more reaching for a plastic baggie only to realize it was the last one in the box.⁣

What's the issue with any old Ziploc bag, you say? Let's get into the nitty-gritty:⁣

❗️Plastic bags take 500 years (or more!) to degrade. And even when they degrade they only break down into micro-plastics through a process called photo-degrading. AKA plastics degrade but they never stop hurting our planet, our animals, and us by sneaking back into our bodies as itty bitty dangerous micro-plastics.⁣

🐋 267 different species have already been affected by plastic pollution in our oceans. The average family in America is using 500 Ziploc baggies each year. This is per family for just zippered plastic baggies. There are well over 126 million households in a million.⁣

Luckily, Stasher Bags found a solution that is reusable, non-plastic, and non-toxic. It also has a Pinch-Loc seal so you won't need to worry about losing anything you stash away in this silicone solution.⁣

Stasher Bags are tough but they don't last forever. Not to mention, if you're taking your Stasher everywhere you go then chances are it'll wear out eventually. This means you've just contributed to waste! Well, sort of but not really. Stasher Bags are made of silicone and upon recycling will be made into playground pebbles using the Stasher recycling program.⁣

Will you be trading your plastic bags for Stasher Bags? Let us know in the comments below.

What's good?

Well, we think is good.

bioMASON is reinventing the world's top building material using bacteria that absorbs CO2 and emission recycling. Pretty fancy, right?

bioMASON has perfected a proprietary manufacturing process to create biocement™. This has zero carbon emissions and will help cut costs.

We can't find anything wrong with this solution to construction waste. If you're curious you can do a bit more digging on their mission and accomplishments at their site biomason.com.

What's good?

Well, we think is good.

Enviroshake is taking on the roofing industry with a fresh, new green solution. But you're not sacrificing looks with the products they're serving.

Estimated demolition and construction waste in the United States reaches in the hundreds of millions of tons. 530 million tons on the high end. That's a lot of waste when there's a solution - recycled, reprocessed, and environmentally-friendly materials.

Enviroshake is made of 95% reprocessed materials, making it more eco-friendly than any other roofing material. With Enviroshake you're protecting your home and your planet all in one go.

What's the catch? You might find you prefer the look of traditional roofing material. While they're made to look exactly like the 'real thing' there may be some differences to the trained eye. We recommend you check out some roofs in your area using this material to get a feel for your opinion on it. (You'll definitely want to do this before you commit to years living under this new roof.)

Take a you know who would be open to installing a new, environmentally-friendly roofing option.

What's good?

Well, we think is good.

Reel delivers sustainable toilet paper alternatives to your door using a subscription system. That's right, no more finding yourself in a bind after your last roll.

Bamboo toilet paper is a sustainable option and a better alternative to tree-made TP. Bamboo grows fast (36 inches in 24-hours fast) meaning it is easily replaced.

Reel TP is on a mission to make toilet paper more sustainable and help bring toilets to the 2.4 billion people without. For every purchase you make Reel delivers a toilet to someone in need.

While Reel is softer than other bamboo TP and recycled TP competitors it can be on the pricier side if you're used to buying traditional, unsustainable toilet paper products. But you do get a discount when you sign up for the subscription service rather than making a one-off purchase.

Tag someone who is trying to become more this year. Let's spread the word about bamboo TP!

What's good?

Well, we think is good.

Solidia is changing the production of cement and concrete to make it more sustainable.

The only product the world demands more of is water. That's right cement and concrete are pretty popular. They produce roughly 5 to 7% of the global carbon emissions. It's also takes three trillion liters of water to meet the concrete production needs every year.

Solidia uses a patented green solution for producing building materials that can potentially eliminate at least 1.5 gigatonnes of CO2 each year. Unlike traditional cement, Solidia cement will reduce emissions, require less energy to produce, and produce more material with less.

We couldn't find any drawbacks to this new technology and methodology. You can learn more about their processes at their website www.solidiatech.com.

Tag someone who works in and would be interested in Solidia's cement production.
