ABOUT 46 PICTURES
46 Pictures was founded by Jay Foster in 1997 originally to provide photo-production support and rental equipment. Since 2012, 46 Pictures represents professional photographers who shoot in both hi-def mediums, stills or motion. The current roster of photographers are: Michael Khachadoorian (Lifestyle/Fitness), Lou D’Angelo (Automotive/Tech), Michael Alan Ross (Automotive/Portraits). Jay graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1985 & relocated to Los Angeles where he started as a camera assistant working for notable photographers Dominick Guillemot, Marshall Safron, Peggy Sirota and Pete Turner. Jay’s career magnified from 1987 to 2007 working exclusively for Sirota as a camera assistant and ultimately becoming her studio manager/producer. From 2008 to 2012, Jay worked at Prettybird Pictures as Head of Print; serving in a key leadership role with direct oversight of strategy, planning, logistics, and operations for a photographer’s roster. He also was the Post Production Supervisor; working with both directors and clients on scheduling, estimating, editing, coloring, and all other post-production elements. In 2012, Jay reinvented his company 46 Pictures to represent photographers & filmmakers. Jay's vast experience in the photography business is an invaluable asset to both photographers and clients.
