Thank you Fredrica Piphus Singletary, MBA, EdD and Keitiaunna Lowe, DSL for inviting me to keynote the Women's Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley Women of Distinction luncheon.
Congrats to the legendary women business owners for your accomplishments and well deserved recognition. ✨✨✨
One thing I know for sure is that sometimes life, business, and careers can be so consuming that we fail to:
• Remember what we’ve accomplished and the challenges we’ve overcome
• Celebrate from whence we’ve come, and
• Pivot joyfully when it’s time to start a new chapter.
That’s why my keynote was titled “Roots, Wings & Chapters.”
There are experiences that shape us (roots), possibilities made reality because of us (wings), and necessary endings with new beginnings that help us fulfill our destiny (chapters).
You’re not done dreaming new dreams, stepping into greater purpose, or (re)defining success on your terms.
Most flowers start as a seed.
Your plan doesn’t have to be fully flushed out. As my good friend Regina Carswell Russo once shared, all you need to decide is “what’s the best NEXT step?”
Shine on, friends! ✨
