Last week we celebrated Lee’s birthday 🎉

If you’ve worked with Lee for more than about five minutes, you’ve probably heard some version of this idea:

That belief is a big part of why Hookd approaches marketing the way we do.

This morning we met at Market on River in Chippewa Falls to step away from our screens and get in the same room.

We work remotely most days — but there’s something powerful about sitting across the table, reading the room, challenging ideas in real time, and building strategy together.

Human-first marketing doesn’t just apply to our clients.
It applies to how we work, too.

Strategy isn’t built in isolation.
It’s built in rooms like this.

No matter how cold it got…
there was still this person. ❄️

Meanwhile, the rest of Wisconsin:
• layered beyond recognition
• refused to leave the house
• consumed all forms of streaming content under three blankets

That cold snap was no joke.

Cold weather changes behavior.
Attention doesn’t disappear —
it just shifts.

Now that we’re thawing out (slightly)…
check in on your people and make sure no one turned into a popsicle. 🧊
