People posting on their business Facebook or Instagram accounts should try and create a "personality" for that business.
Rather than a "sell sell sell sell" message, rotate through these types of posts to vary the message and be interesting/useful/inspiring/funny to your followers.

This ratio means you sell or promote your business only 1 out of every 5 posts. The other four posts enhance and explore your business personality by making your followers laugh, learn something, feel happier, support another business (don't forget to tag them) with the goal of sharing your post or keeping your business top of mind.
After posting on your business page, share to your personal page if appropriate because you can pick up followers that way. Ask your friends to share your posts and follow your page or invite more of their friends to follow your page as appropriate too.
