For California CASA Association , it was the volunteers themselves. We designed their peer-to-peer recruitment kit around that: tools that help everyday advocates share their stories in their own words, and invite others to join.

We’ve been quietly working on something big...

Pastilla was selected to lead the brand campaign for CES® 2027. 🙌💙

CES operates at a different level. Global audiences. Competing priorities. A lot happening at once.

At that scale, brand isn’t decoration. It has to organize complexity and actually do work. That’s what we’re building. A campaign system that holds together across every touchpoint and makes CES feel clear, cohesive, and unmistakable.

CES is also heading into its 60th year. So this isn’t just about the next campaign. It’s about helping shape how a platform like this shows up at a turning point.

California CASA ensures children in the foster care and juvenile justice systems have a voice and the services they need to thrive. Even with this powerful mission, local CASA programs needed a creative way to engage more volunteers in their communities.

We reimagined word-of-mouth recruitment with a peer-to-peer toolkit that helps local CASA programs turn ordinary conversations into real commitments. By providing teams with ready-to-use assets, we made it easier to reach new volunteers through personal connections and genuine trust.

SXSW always moves fast, but a few moments really stuck with us.
After a few days at , a few ideas are still sticking with us, but one takeaway stands out: the future won’t be won by the flashiest tech. It’ll be won by the most trusted systems.

What we kept hearing, again and again:
▪️ AI is everywhere, human judgment is the differentiator.
▪️ Trust is the design problem of this era, and transparency is non-negotiable.
▪️ Partnerships are how real innovation ships, especially in civic work.

We left Austin thinking not only about “what’s next,” but about “what works,” for real people navigating real systems.

Last week, we spent time at the (Doing) Business for Good Summit and came home with a full heart. There’s something grounding about being in a room with people who care deeply, and who are trying to build change in ways that last.

A theme that kept coming up: sustainable impact isn’t just about what we do, it’s about how we do it, and how we care for the people alongside us while we’re doing it.
