The moment it clicks. ✨ Mary Lou from was stuck in perfectionism mode. “Is this good enough? Can I really launch this?”

Spoiler alert: it was more than good enough. Her site was great, but perfection paralysis hits different when you’re a designer. But inside GFL, we got to work together on all the finishing touches and something shifted. She got the support she needed and published.

If your Squarespace site has been “almost done” for longer than you’d like to admit, it’s not because you’re not skilled enough or motivated enough.

Six years of teaching Squarespace has shown me the same pattern over and over: smart people stall on fonts, colors, copy, and “is this good enough?” until months go by and the homepage says “Welcome to my site.” 🫠

Returning to work while being a full time mom is tricky, and for a people pleaser like me, I’m working hard on holding my new boundaries. Today was a lesson in just that.

My ex client is understandably not happy. But I do have another client who is fine with the way I have to work these days.

So to anyone struggling to find work that fits your life, I’m right there with you, and I’m here to tell you that those clients do exist.

AI was not the right choice for this project. Lesson learned 🫠 but this mistake did inspire a new video I’m recording today: how to build a website *without* AI!
