The monogram we created at the very beginning of Valon & Frosina’s stationery journey, starting with their save the dates and carrying all the way through to their wedding day. 🤍

This is one of the reasons I love working with couples from the beginning. We’re not designing each piece in isolation. We’re establishing the colors, typography, artwork, and details that will anchor your wedding branding, then finding ways to carry those elements through as the celebration unfolds.

My role is to guide you through those decisions, knowing what to repeat, what to evolve, and where a detail will have the most impact. The goal isn’t for everything to match. It’s for your guests to experience each piece along the way and feel like it all makes sense together.

From the first envelope they open to the details they see on the wedding day, it should feel like one intentional, cohesive story. And that’s exactly what we were able to create for Valon & Frosina. 🤍

An oldie but goodie, yet it still looks as good as ever. 🤍

When we work together, you don’t need to come to me knowing exactly what your invitations should look like. You bring the ideas, inspiration, colors, and details you’re drawn to, and we build from there. You’ll look through your curated sample box, feel the different papers, see printing methods in person, and start to figure out what you love.

From there, it’s my job to guide you. I’ll suggest the paper, printing methods, colors, shapes, and finishing touches I think will work best together, tell you when I think something is worth the investment (or when it isn’t), and make sure every decision feels intentional within the overall design.

There are endless options when it comes to custom stationery. The value isn’t just having access to them, it’s having someone help you know which ones are right for your wedding. And I think this suite is a pretty good example of what can happen when it all comes together. 🤍

There’s something to be said for the human touch.

For this tablescape, each guest’s name was turned into a ribbon place card, tied individually around their glass and paired with deeper tones throughout the paper details. It’s a small detail, but one that takes thought, care, and an understanding of how everything will actually come together in the space.

Technology can make so much of the process faster and easier, but it can’t replace a trained eye, personal guidance, or the care that goes into creating something specifically for your celebration. That human element will always be at the heart of what we do.

J & N are getting married under a willow tree this October, so it only seemed fitting to make it a focal point of their invitations. 🤍 A custom willow tree die-cut details card, printed on the softest colored stock.

We’re currently working on their wedding day paper and carrying this same element through, creating cohesive event branding from the invitation all the way to the wedding day.

Three years already... how is that possible?! 🤍

I officially started Word For Word Designs three years ago today, and it’s been quite the journey. From starting a business at 23 while working full time, to running it while living in Spain for a year, navigating business through the loss of my dad, and learning SO much along the way, about myself, from others, and definitely from the many mistakes I’ve made too.

I’m so grateful for everything these past three years have taught me and feel incredibly blessed to create things I genuinely love while getting to be a small part of so many beautiful celebrations. And there is still so much I want to do!

One of the things I’m most excited about moving forward is expanding even further into wedding day details and event branding. I want Word For Word to be more than the studio that creates your first impression. I want us to carry that same vision from the first piece your guests receive all the way through the wedding day, creating a cohesive experience from beginning to end.

There’s nothing more special than when business and personal collide. 🤍 This past May, I had the honor of being both a guest and vendor at my boyfriend’s family’s wedding in Italy. Set in the hills of their hometown, it was a night full of love, family, and celebration.

From custom favors featuring olive oil from the family’s own vineyard to table numbers named after cities the couple has traveled to together, every detail had a story behind it. Definitely one to remember. 🇮🇹✨

Last week I had the honor of attending Mastermind Retreat with 25 other incredible women in 30A. This is the second year I’ve been a part of this group, and I was finally able to attend this time around and it has definitely been the highlight of my year so far!

I firmly believe in the importance of community and surrounding yourself with others who have a shared love for stationery, but more importantly the desire to be the best version of themselves. This group of women have pushed me to envision my business in ways I have not imagined, and I’m grateful to have this community to grow and learn from.

A special thank you to Elisabeth and her team for putting together such an impactful retreat, leaving me feeling inspired and refreshed with new ideas. And to those of you who may know, Elisabeth is how I got into stationery back in 2023, so this really felt like a full circle moment 💌

Some exciting things are coming this year, and I can’t wait to take you along as I go ✨
