My first solo show, Powwow Portraits, opens today at the Sioux City Art Center! I’m so excited to share these portraits alongside regalia pieces I’ve made.

Seeing the HoChunk language displayed alongside English on the labels makes me so happy. It looks absolutely beautiful, and I’m thankful to HoChunk Renaissance for helping with the language translations. I put a lot of care into the other labels, too, and seeing everything come together means so much to me.

Thank you to the Sioux City Art Center and their staff for welcoming my work and helping make this exhibit and our upcoming celebration possible.

I invite everyone to stop in and see the show, open through January 10! We’ll also have our Native American Heritage Celebration on November 13 from 5–7 p.m., with dancing beginning at 6 p.m. I hope to see you there!

I’m looking for dancers to join us for our Native American Heritage Celebration on November 13 at the Sioux City Art Center!

This cultural event is an opportunity to share our dances and culture with the community. Our MC will call each dance category, and dancers will join in when their category is called. We’re also hoping to include a round dance!

The event is from 5–7 p.m., with dancing beginning at 6 p.m. If you have purple regalia, I’d love for you to wear it in honor of my mom.

I’m excited to share a sneak peek of my portrait of the former Jr. Miss Winnebago Homecoming Princess, which will be displayed in my upcoming exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center.

There’s still so much to do, and I’m feeling more excited and a little more nervous as the exhibit gets closer!

Life has been full lately! Between preparing for my upcoming exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center, work, client portraits, and everyday life, there’s been a lot to juggle. I’m taking it one step at a time and appreciating your patience along the way.

I’m not taking new portrait bookings at the moment while I focus on my exhibit, personal projects, and the clients already on my calendar. If you’re waiting on something from me, please feel free to send a friendly reminder!

I also took a quick trip to Colorado with my family. Spending time in one of my favorite places was a much-needed pause, and I’m happy to share a little piece of it through this photo.

Trying to stay relevant on here. LOL. I'm excited to be attending the Opening Festival | Merciless: Indigenous Lands Since 1776 this Saturday. I designed a graphic for the exhibit, and I'm so excited to have had the opportunity. I also have an upcoming exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center, I'm excited to show my recent Powwow Portraits from the Winnebago Homecoming Celebration, I'll also be having an event there in November. I'll be looking for dancers to join me, if you're interested in dancing please DM me. Also, I'll be doing some prenatal and postpartum portraits for a program, but if you're interested please DM me, more details on that soon.
