Mocha Bee Copywriting I'm grateful to have a business built around two of my passions: writing + service. Thank you for allowing me into your brands + hearts.

I wish people wrote about their brands the way they spoke about them.

When I get clients talking about their service or product, they shine.

They sell the transformation, the lifestyle, the pain of a world without their solution, and the magical world after they guide their audience to the proverbial mountaintop. But when it's time to put it into writing, they lose that spark. All you get is bullet points and features.

If you feel like that special somethin' somethin' gets lost when you put pen to paper, try talking it out.

Turn down the lights, pour up some wine (or tea), turn on your voice recorder, and just talk about your brand. Pretend you're being interviewed if that helps. Hell, maybe you can bribe a friend with dinner to be your sounding board. Brene Brown got a book out of talking through her stories with friends over margaritas and what I'm sure was many, many laughs and tears.

Hearing yourself speak about your business (or related subjects) can help you find the passion and excitement that often gets lost in written content.

Give it a try the next time you feel stuck. You never know what might come out when you're in flow.

Hi, I'm Kiera and I'm a skimmer.

I'm guilty of hitting the headers and subheaders as I make my way down to the price. I'll usually double back and read the body copy if it feels like I'm in the right place.

This is why informative, engaging headlines are non-negotiable. People want all the goods upfront. I mean, there's a reason people eat up greatest hits albums.

Time to fall back, y’all!

How are you going to use your “extra” hour?

Me, I’m going to recommit to my morning ritual–an hour-long walk listening to a podcast/audiobook, then complete my morning pages with some sweet, sweet caffeine. (Yes, I'm an energy drink girlie.)

Currently, I’m lacking in the mindfulness department. Plenty of caffeine though! Time to get back into balance.

So, you're finally ready to scale your business. Congrats!

But before you kick things into overdrive, there are a few things to consider:

1. Get clear on your mission and vision. Is your initial vision for your business still in alignment with your goals? Has your 'how' or 'why' shifted? Remember, this is the heart of your brand and whether you're doubling down or using this as an opportunity to shift, it's important to give yourself time to reflect and refine.
2. Know your numbers. Scaling a business requires financial stability and planning. Make sure you have a solid understanding of your finances, profit margins, and growth projections before taking the leap to scale.
3. Build a strong team or support system. You can't do it all on your own, especially when scaling your business. Invest in building a team and finding a support system to help you manage the increased workload and responsibilities.

By taking time to lay a rock solid foundation, you'll set yourself up for success when it's time to scale your business.

Scaling your business is a big step—don’t let your message get left behind in the dust. If you'd rather run barefoot down a hallway strewn with Legos than create through avatars and brand messaging pillars, let's talk.

When you've been in business for years, it's easy to feel like you know it all and you've seen it all. But the most innovative and successful people know there's always more to learn.

Tap into your beginner mindset and revisit foundational concepts. You never know what you might discover about yourself, your industry, or your business.

Remember, it's a sign of strength, not weakness, to continue learning and growing. When was the last time you went back to the basics?

With all this chatter about AI, automation, and algorithms, it’s easy to forget that, at its core, marketing is about people. Right there behind every conversion, every click, every purchase is a human being–someone with dreams, desires, frustrations, and challenges. And while data can tell us what people are doing, it can’t give true insight into why they do it. AI efficiency simply cannot make up for a lack of emotional intelligence (EQ).

That EQ allows marketers to tap into the emotions that drive human behavior, build trust through empathy, navigate objections, create resonant messaging, and inspire loyalty. Without it, marketing efforts will barely make ripples in a pond.

This is what people mean when they say AI won’t replace humans in marketing. True empathy is inimitable.

When you're a spiritual, neurodivergent entrepreneur, every month is Self-Improvment Month. Amirite?

What's one BIG thing you want to focus on this month?

I've really been evaluating my values and strengths lately. And I've fallen a bit out of step.

Community and creativity have been coming up a LOT for me lately so I'm toying with other projects that allow me to honor these aspects of me a bit more.

Nothing official launched yet, but if you want to check out my personal journey, you can find me over at on Insta.

I've had a lot on my mind and heart lately aaaaaaand I'm dumping some of it here... Every Day is a Fashion Show dinner dates, Muse Mastermind, olde 😉 school salons, learning to draw, learning (anything) in front of people, ultradian rhythms and the creation process, how to gamify tracking so more people can leverage their natural energy, finding an intuitive balance between creativity and strategy, what rewilding in branding looks like (and how do we make space for that in capitalism), creating a database with rating system for documentaries a la Charity Navigator, less femme planners, a compendium of Black and Brown international fairy tales.... and other stuff. You know, the usual.

Way late to the party, but do I have any Artist's Way fans? Just started doing morning pages about a week ago and only missed one day--monumental for me haha. Does anyone have any ideas for artist dates?

It’s easy to just write off limiting beliefs.

They keep us from moving on, moving forward… moving up.

But the truth is, limiting beliefs serve a purpose.

They keep us safe and comfortable. They keep people, opportunities, and BIG changes at arm's length, so you can

If you want to stay where you are, limiting beliefs are great. But if you want to make room for bigger, better, brighter, more amazing things, you have to let that s**t go.

If you’ve been:
-Struggling with your message...
-Afraid to step in front of your brand...
-Tiptoeing around charging based on the value you deliver rather than sweat equity...
-Comparing yourself to everyone you see on the ‘gram...
-Waiting for permission or a sign to finally make that leap...

…then today is the day.

Make like Elsa and let all the B.S. go.

Write it down on a piece of paper and burn it.
Run to your nearest smash room and scream it out while you take out your trauma on an old printer.
Or, just drop it in the comments below. Whatever you need to do to release it.

Today is more than just a moment of recognition; it's an acknowledgment of every tear shed in silence, every laugh that echoed louder than fear, and every step taken in defiance of doubt. It's about the quiet moments of perseverance, the shared glances of understanding, and the unspoken bonds that connect us across continents and cultures.

To every woman who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or underestimated, know that your presence is powerful, your voice is necessary, and your contributions are invaluable.

Whether you're leading boardrooms, nurturing families, sparking revolutions, or standing firm in the face of adversity, your actions pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.

Cheers to you!
