I wish people wrote about their brands the way they spoke about them.
When I get clients talking about their service or product, they shine.
They sell the transformation, the lifestyle, the pain of a world without their solution, and the magical world after they guide their audience to the proverbial mountaintop. But when it's time to put it into writing, they lose that spark. All you get is bullet points and features.
If you feel like that special somethin' somethin' gets lost when you put pen to paper, try talking it out.
Turn down the lights, pour up some wine (or tea), turn on your voice recorder, and just talk about your brand. Pretend you're being interviewed if that helps. Hell, maybe you can bribe a friend with dinner to be your sounding board. Brene Brown got a book out of talking through her stories with friends over margaritas and what I'm sure was many, many laughs and tears.
Hearing yourself speak about your business (or related subjects) can help you find the passion and excitement that often gets lost in written content.
Give it a try the next time you feel stuck. You never know what might come out when you're in flow.
