Last night in London, translator Katherine E. Young accepted the 2026 EBRD Literature Prize for Azerbaijani author Akram Aylisli’s “People and Trees: A Trilogy,” published by Plamen Press. Proud to have been part of the team that helped bring this amazing work to life for an international audience with my contribution of the cover design. Congrats to all! 🏆🙌

Breaking news: A book I designed for Plamen Press is a finalist for a big European prize for literature in translation! We can look forward to the announcement of the ultimate winner in early July, but this is already a great achievement for the author, translator, publisher and editors. Hopefully the design helped draw attention to the work that it thoroughly deserves.
