Zion isn’t just a park. It’s a journey. It’s a story. It’s where your kids fall in love with the nature. So if there’s one national park you should visit FIRST with your kids, let it be Zion.

Here are the recommendations:
Best Time to Go to Zion National Park:
1. Spring (April–May) – Perfect temperatures (60-80°F), blooming wildflowers, and flowing waterfalls. Did someone say 🌸. We went for spring break.
2. Fall (September–October) – Crisp air, stunning , and ideal hiking weather.
Cons: It’s also one of the more expensive times to visit Zion and but if plan ahead it’s worth it.

So our recommendation for Cheapest Time to Go to Zion:
1. Winter (December–February) – Lowest hotel rates and off-season deals.
2. Early Spring (March) – Before peak season kicks in, you can still find budget-friendly lodging.
Con: some trails and hikes are closed.

Double check or for the most updated status for the closers.

Chichen Itza - Wonder Of The World🙏🏼

A renowned archaeological site in Mexico 🇲🇽, bears witness to the ancient Maya civilization’s architectural and cultural prowess. Constructed between the 7th and 10th centuries, it served as a major city and later as a ceremonial center. The site features iconic structures like the Pyramid of Kukulcán, a marvel of astronomical precision with its alignment to the equinoxes. Chichen Itza’s inclusion as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World recognizes its historical significance, advanced engineering, and cultural impact, solidifying its status as a global treasure.

It’s been our bucket list and we are so very grateful to experience this marvel of the world 🌎!

Here are 5 compelling reasons why you must visit Palacio de Bellas Artes, located in the heart of Mexico City’s Historic Center:

🏛️It’s a Palace, a UNESCO monument that showcases diverse arts and exhibitions, including an array of Frida Kahlo’s masterpieces.
💃🏻Experience vibrant performances, from Aztec ritual dances to lively wedding celebrations featuring mariachis, marimba players, and singers.
🎟️The admission fee is only $4.50 USD, so it’s one of the most affordable cultural experiences.
⛲️Enjoy the scenic beauty of the cityscape from the enchanting front lawns adorned with fountains and vibrant flowers.
🥘Indulge your taste buds at nearby top-notch restaurants; I highly recommend Casa de Los Azulejos (House of Tiles), a mere 2-minute walk away.

Art is therapy!

This wall captured my whole heart at once. This is pure love. The art, the colors, the emotions captured and how it’s represented is beyond words. This is just one of the many beautiful art pieces displayed at Wynwood walls museum where global artists come together to pour their heart out.

Firefall 2022 🌋 - a breathtaking view of Horsetail fall in Yosemite Valley, California this past weekend.
Every year for around 2 weeks in February right before sunset the sun rays fall on this waterfall at an angle illuminating the waterfall and it’s mist orange, red and yellow like lava and fire 🔥.
A LOT of things have to fall in place for Firefall to occur like - clear sky, flowing water in the Horsetail fall, park snow condition (Kids mood for us 🤣) etc
🏔
This has been in our bucket list for 9 years since we moved to California and finally made it with the family. Our kids LOVE to spend time in snow so this time of the year in Yosemite was a double fun.
🏔
If traveling with little kids a bit of planning is needed as this natural phenomenon is very famous so the park gets crowded and getting in and out of park could take time.
Plan to get to the viewing location a couple of hours in advance to get a good spot. We choose the most famous one - ElCapitan picnic area.
Parking lots get full by noon, so find a spot early. There is free shuttle service inside the park to go to different trails heads and lodges (for food).
The closest parking is 1.5 mile away from this view (El Capitan picnic area) so prepare to walk 1.5 mile each way and there is no stopping or parking so plan to walk. A buggy or stroller to carry kids, chairs, food, blankets etc is super helpful.
The Valley near the fall is a huge one way circle so prepare to be in slow traffic for 1 - 2 hrs when getting out, unless you are staying inside, you can walk extra to walk to your campsite/ cabin.
Phone connections is very low and spotty.
🏔
Everything lined up perfectly for us - clear sky, light wind and a beautiful sunset but seeing our 7 and 4 year old kids face light up has to be our favorite part of the Firefall.

“The Delicate Arch”
Delicate Arch has been on our ‘Bucket list’ for a very long time. It’s a 52-foot-tall freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.
🏜
One of the most popular hikes in Utah, it’s a busy trail throughout the year.
It’s said the best view of the arch is at Sunset so we decided to do the trail on a beautiful day at sunset. We kept the morning easy and started the trail around 3pm. With two small breaks for the 3 yr old we made it to the top right around 5pm. The view at the top was absolutely amazing and worth the hike.
PS: scroll left to see us under the arch for perspective 🤪. The tallest of us is 6ft 🙈
🏜
A steadily uphill 3.2 mile (around 5km) trail has been the most difficult hikes we have done with our 3yr old and 6 yr old (at the time) but I am so surprised with the resilience and dedication of these little humans, they not only kept up with our pace but also never complained about getting tired. I think the excitement finishing the hike and all the people around kept all 4 of us going.
🏜
If you don’t feel like hiking all the way up to the Arch, you can go to Lower Delicate Arch Viewpoint or Upper Delicate Arch Viewpoint to see the arch from a distance. It’s not easily visible from a driving car though.
🏜
Tips:
1. Take lots of water, coconut water, electrolytes - we do a minimum of 1/2 liter per hour per person calculation, may be more for summer days.
2. Proper walking / hiking shoes are must.
3. Hats and sunscreen
4. Carry some light snacks like protein bars, some gummy bear treats (or whatever your kids like) to keep them motivated
5. Pin this post if you are planning to explore Delicate Arch or Arches National Park
Have fun exploring!!
