It’s not ALWAYS about realtors 😂 this was fun creating lineup cards & banquet tickets for the Wasilla Warriors Baseball team!

The lineup cards - a concept image was given to me & I replicated. I think I got it pretty spot on, thankfully so because word on the street is the coach would’ve made me run stars! 😱 I won’t name drop (coughcoachottcough). ♥️👀

If you are interested in attending the banquet let me know! It’s going to be a blast! ♥️⚾️

Hi! So there is a lot of swirling controversy and rumors around Facebook and it’s parent company META. Especially with stocks taking a plunge. https://tinyurl.com/2p9db4xk

Some see this as the writing on the wall for the direction of Facebook and how businesses and consumers alike utilize this.

Here’s the thing…Google will stay king for awhile. Making sure your web presence is solid (NOT SOCIAL MEDIA), showing up on search engines and utilizing Google My Business is important. What’s just as important…

A WEBSITE. You don’t need an extravagant one. A landing page even with your business hours, contact information (etc) AND it being current is one of the keystones of a solid marketing plan.

I am not here to exploit or put down others in the industry — but if they are charging you $$$ and telling you Instagram is the move and creating your website with Wix….sadly you are being taken for a ride. If you choose Wix because of the ease of use, I applaud you for knowing your limitations but I promise you it shouldn’t cost you taking out a short term loan to have one designed.

Website design is an entirely different subject I will touch on another day. For now…go over this brief checklist:

Are you even showing up on search engines without Facebook & Instagram being the top results?

Do you have access to Google My Business - Business Manager?

Do you have any sort of website or landing page with current information about your business?

If any of those answers are NO… message me and let’s get you started! Having a secure online presence not dependent on social media will withstand the rumors, controversy and algorithm mess that surrounds it!

Facebook's market value plunged $237 billion Thursday, representing the biggest single-day market drop in history as its nosedive shook world markets and pulled down the Nasdaq by 3.4 per cent

Only a few things left to do for Devon Doran for her new website for Devon Thomas - Your Realtor For Life (Next step is changing her last name over other places!!)

But I'm pretty sure I captured her (if that's possible) with this website!

I’m helping Devon set up her new site and branding is always step one.

I did her brand board BEFORE she sent me inspiration | colors she liked. I took the things I know about her already, the things she loved and created.

When she sent me her choice of palettes we both found humor in what I already had done vs what she sent.

Let me get to know you and help you create your brand! This is the best testimonial I can receive and provide because it’s solid proof that I am able to know you and create something that wholly represents you!

Hi me again today. Let’s talk about Reels/TikToks/Shorts/Videos in general.

They are cool - great - wonderful - amazing….yada yada yada. Yes you should do them. Try them. If you need help with ideas of filming…now that I’ve upgraded my phone and fixed the broken one, I can help and no longer produce Nokia Trac-Phone quality circa early 2000’s videos — I absolutely can help!

But let’s talk about what to do and not to do. Actually let’s just talk about what NOT to do.

Make. Fun. Of. Clients (customers, potential customers/clients, etc).

IT. IS. NOT. CUTE.
Or funny.
Or valuable.

It’s demeaning, it puts your morals, ethics and integrity into question. It drops who and what you are in value.

Would you go back to a stylist, real estate agent, doctor, esthetician, store, business in-general if you knew you’d wind up as the subject of their next possible viral internet video. 🤔

If your niche is parody and memes then Swing away Merrell. But I’ve seen “professionals” using this for views and posting it all over their social media.

Big. Fat. Yikes.

These videos are good examples of using clients in informative and relatable ways without demeaning, devaluing and diminishing the client - professional relationship and still creating content!

Customer service happens beyond the transaction/appointment/experience. Don’t stop delivering.

Message me if you want to talk!

I am not in the business of PR Crisis Management. But there is every bit of use for it. Especially when you are running a business, holding a position in the public/political sector (not limited to city councils, legislation etc.), are an entertainer - so on and so forth.

A question always presented is the use of a personal page versus a “business” page.

Depending on the business and the goal is where my recommendations will lie. That said, if you plan at any point to be a public figure or dabble in the political realm: download your personal profile data now AND delete or lock it down.

Then hire someone who will have full control of your social media world. You can still have administrative access but preference is for you to allow for someone else to mediate and review what you are posting. If previous incidents held by public officials aren’t dead giveaways for this, I’ll drop this link for further example: https://alaskawatchman.com/2021/10/04/report-4-palmer-city-council-members-likely-violated-open-meetings-law-recall-effort-ensues/?fbclid=IwAR3oQ5L5MTSv8_xyqw3neoDuPzPzclImvOly9diupGdIh0aKruf1IDllBqs

That said. People will deem this a witch hunt. And trust me, I see both aspects as these are actual humans with families and feelings. Furthermore we are being given little bit size snippets from select media sources for us to use CRITICAL THINKING and come to our own conclusion.

Problem is, these things are easily avoidable.

Watching instagram right now a storm is a brewing with legalities of giveaways and influencers disclosing advertising and affiliate relationships with brands.

That too is AVOIDABLE.

The legal information is out there placed on unbiased websites for each person to educate themselves on. From influencers to political figures, the rules you follow are there for you to be informed about appropriate actions especially in a digital world. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE…

There are companies and people for you to hire that will make sure you are running a legal, non-controversial and productive social media presence. Don’t wait for a disaster to happen - prevent it and protect your reputation and your name. Don’t waste time building a brand for it to be brought down by I’ll informed missteps online.

Let’s talk content real quick. Pushing aesthetically pleasing content is great. IF it’s relevant.

Relevant to your brand. And to your purpose.

Are your graphics able to be read by ALL possible consumers?

Is the graphic & caption (copy) related to one another and your brand/message/purpose?
- posting a whale, talking about something irrelevant to the whale & having a brand that doesn’t connect with either of those things is BAD. (Will explain soon…)

Are you posting just to post?

These things CAN and WILL harm you in the long term. Algorithms are built around many things and one of the most important is relevancy. If you not reaching beyond your typical reach & not seeing growth, this could be a reason why.

There are moving parts consistently in the digital world. Finding a way to touch these and make them work for you is key. Pushing content/reels and random posts just because is one of the worst things you can do.

Keep this in mind when your considering what expert is guiding you in your digital world.

When they say content is king. That is and will always be true.

It can happen to the best of us. A series of unfortunate events that could cause either a PR disaster or just be a blip on your radar of “things just happen”.

There are probably a hundred ways to handle this scenario and we’ve seen some recently done quite classy. Claiming ownership, speaking highly of another (person - business - item).

A nightmare is the third party factor. A friend, employee, family member jumping in AND not being diplomatic in their words. Being aggressive, accusatory, passive aggressive and making comments that do contribute positively to the event.

Having a good social media manager is a good way to avoid the nightmare spiraling. They will take the time to educate you, staff, etc on how to best respond and contain a situation. Nowadays one unfortunate event and a nightmare third party can truly make or break a business. Screenshots are forever and often times it’s happening while you are sleeping or busy leaving a hostile situation for you to clean up.

If you would like some help with an audit on your social media, a class or someone to manage it for you — message me! I can help!
