Who remembers the telethon? What are your memories from back in the day when we had 2 channels and something on?

Danny Burgess was a local television celebrity in the early days of television in the North Country.

Danny began hosting the local segment of the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon in 1971.

Danny was also the local tv weatherman (when your only sources of weather information were television, radio, newspaper or the Farmer's Almanac), and he hosted a Saturday morning children's television show.

Before cable television became a thing when people only got one or two television channels.
