In business, when people slander you or try to drag your name through the mud, your first instinct might be to jump into the ring and fight back. But here’s a massive lesson in business maturity: You can't just jump into a street fight with another business, even when they are actively attacking yours. I always try my absolute best not to let people burn bridges. I try to protect people from their own bad decisions. But sometimes, people mistake kindness for weakness.
Take a look at this screenshot right here. A "friend" hired me to do SEO and digital growth for their business (Stillbi███'shvac). I looked at their setup and told him straight up: "Man, you have to do ABC first before we can jump to XYZ." He looked me in the eye and said, "Just do this part first, and we will handle all the rest of that right after." Because he was a friend, I agreed. I did a mountain of high-level work completely at cost. I charged him literally ONE-THIRD of what he had paid previous companies, and I delivered three times the actual results.
But when it finally came time to execute the rest of the strategy and settle up? The excuses started rolling in. And when the excuses ran out, instead of just being honest, they resorted to slander. They started making up the absolute stupidest, most transparent lies to justify breaking their word.
But here is the beautiful thing about the digital age: Data doesn't lie, and it doesn't have emotions. As I sat here today focusing on my own growth, an automated system report hit my email inbox. It’s a piece of undeniable, certified proof. Look at the data in this image. Look at the impressions and the search queries. The exact work they claim "wasn't done" or "didn't work" is literally the only thing driving traffic and visibility to their name right now. The numbers prove the lies completely wrong.
When people pull stunts like this, you don't need to yell, scream, or roll around in the mud with them. You just keep building, keep scaling, and let the receipts do the talking for you.
When you do good work, the truth always catches up. Back to business. 🚀
