BIG NEWS, folks! I was invited to contribute my artwork to an upcoming anthology to be published by Mountaineer Books in early 2027. "Rocky Mountains Literary Field Guide: Art, Ecology, Poetry," is a unique project that will present a new way of learning about our expansive home region and its inhabitants.
I am one of 13 artists selected for this project, each of whom contributed 10 wildlife illustrations of local species. I was selected to draw the mountain goat (pictured), black bear, caribou, coyote, cutthroat trout (my wheelhouse!), moose, osprey, sandhill crane, snowshoe hare, and red crossbill (which I had never even heard of before!).
Even though artists were compensated (thanks!), the use of the work is non-exclusive. Meaning, I was able to use images from previously created works and be able to sell the ones created for this project. Interested in this piece or one of the other illustrations? Let me know!
I'm thrilled to have my work published and credited, and be recognized for my love of Rocky Mountain wildlife. ❤🫎🎨
