Growth doesn’t always look like big wins.

Sometimes growth looks like:
✔ Having the hard conversation
✔ Following up one more time
✔ Asking better questions
✔ Showing up when no one is watching
✔ Building relationships before you need them
✔ Staying consistent when results feel slow

Business growth is rarely overnight.
It’s built through trust, consistency, and small intentional actions repeated over time.

Keep planting. Keep learning. Keep showing up.
The results usually come after the work.

Happy Monday go make it count.

A little about me…

I’ve always believed strong relationships are at the center of both business and life.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with business owners, teams, and professionals in ways that have taught me the value of trust, communication, and showing up consistently.

I’m passionate about meaningful conversations, learning from others, building genuine partnerships, and helping people create growth through clarity and connection.

Some of the best lessons I’ve learned have come from simply listening, asking better questions, and understanding that real relationships are built long before they’re ever needed.

I’m grateful for the people I’ve met, the experiences that have shaped me, and the opportunity to continue growing both personally and professionally.

Excited for what’s ahead and thankful to be here.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice gave us freedoms we often live every day without fully realizing the cost.

Today is more than a long weekend.
It’s a reminder of courage, service, sacrifice, and gratitude.

To those who gave everything, and to the families who carry that loss thank you. We remember you.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

One of the most overlooked business skills?
Asking better discovery questions.

Too often, people jump straight into advice, solutions, or selling…

But real growth usually starts with understanding first.

Good discovery questions help you uncover:
• What’s really creating friction
• Where clients, partners, or teams feel stuck
• What matters most to them
• What problem is actually behind the surface issue

A few examples:

Instead of:
“What service are you looking for?”

Try:
“What challenge are you trying to solve right now?”

Instead of:
“How can I help you?”

Try:
“What’s been the biggest obstacle in getting the results you want?”

Instead of:
“Do you need this?”

Try:
“What would make the biggest impact for you right now?”

The goal isn’t to interrogate.
It’s to understand.

Because better discovery questions lead to better conversations…
and better conversations build stronger relationships.

Spent time today with the eastsidebn and it was another great reminder of how valuable it is to be in rooms where people are learning, sharing, and supporting one another.

A big thank you to mimimao.j for today’s presentation on advertising. There were some great insights around visibility, messaging, and the importance of being intentional about how businesses show up and connect with the right audience.

One thing I always appreciate about networking groups like this is the opportunity to not only learn from others, but to hear different perspectives that help us grow both personally and professionally.

Grateful for the conversations, connections, and shared knowledge.

Looking forward to the next one.

One of the biggest opportunities in business growth is understanding where partnerships can create stronger results.

Not every consultant solves the same problem and that’s a good thing.

Some focus on operations.
Some focus on leadership.
Some focus on scaling.

My focus has always been on the relationship side of growth:

stronger referral partnerships
strategic business relationships
trust-based business development
creating consistent opportunities through better conversations

The strongest growth often happens when businesses and professionals stop trying to do everything alone and start identifying where collaboration creates more value.

Because good partnerships don’t just expand networks.
They strengthen results.

Networking for results starts long before anyone sends you a referral.

A lot of people walk into networking focused on:

* what they do
* who they want to meet
* how to get business

But the people who consistently see results usually approach it differently.

They focus on:

* building trust
* understanding people’s challenges
* creating real relationships
* finding ways to be valuable first

Because strong referral relationships are rarely built in one conversation.

They’re built through consistency, follow-through, and becoming someone people remember for the right reasons.

Networking works best when it stops feeling like pitching…
and starts feeling like partnership building.

That’s where the real opportunities usually come from.

One of the biggest mistakes made with networking and referral relationships is treating them like a transaction instead of a partnership.

A lot of people walk into conversations thinking:
“How can this person help me grow?”

But the stronger question is:
“What challenges are they running into that I may be able to help with?”

That shift changes everything.

Because strong referral relationships are usually built through:

understanding
consistency
trust
making someone’s job easier

Not just exchanging business cards.

The businesses that stay top of mind are often the ones that:

listen well
follow through
provide value consistently
understand the pressures the other business faces

People remember the businesses that help solve problems.

Not the ones asking for referrals.

Businesses don’t have a lead problem.
They have a consistency problem.

Not because they aren’t working hard.
Not because they need more people in the pipeline.

Because too much of their growth depends on:

* inconsistent referrals
* unclear sales conversations
* relationships that never turn into real opportunities

That’s where growth starts to stall.

They don’t need more activity.
They need better structure.

Better conversations.
Stronger partnerships.
Clearer positioning.
A more consistent way to build trust and opportunity.

That’s what creates growth you can actually rely on.
