🛡️ ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS: PHISHING ALERT
I’ve been seeing a surge in sophisticated phishing emails targeting Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Business accounts. This one looks incredibly convincing, but it is 100% a scam.
Did you get an email like this? DON’T CLICK IT.
The image shown is a fake “Business Manager partner request.” Here’s how you can spot the red flags:
đźš© Fake Link
Real Meta notifications will NEVER send you to a random link.
đźš© Urgency Tactics
Scammers want you to panic and act fast. Phrases like “please complete the process” are designed to pressure you into clicking before thinking.
đźš© False Trust Signals
Ironically, many phishing emails include “Protect yourself from fraud” warnings to appear legitimate.
What happens if you click?
If you enter your login information, hackers can gain access to your Meta Business account and:
• Lock you out of your business page
• Run ads using your saved payment methods
• Steal or delete business assets
• Scam your followers or customers
THE GOLDEN RULE:
Never click links inside suspicious Facebook or Instagram business emails.
If the notification is legitimate, it will appear inside your official dashboard.
Stay safe and share this with other business owners.
