Everybody wish my partner in crime and the other half of KC Craft Co. a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳🩷🎂

Happy birthday to Christy! The person who somehow agreed to turn our little “we should paint banners” idea into an actual business with me. 😂 And now here we are, booked and busy, constantly covered in paint, and probably texting each other about a banner at entirely inappropriate hours. 🤣

I’m so thankful I get to do all of this with you, and KC definitely wouldn’t be KC without you. 🥹🩷

Here’s to another year of painting cute banners, taking on entirely too much, and figuring it out as we go. 😂🎨

Love you, birthday girl!! Y’all show Christy some love today! 🥳🎉🩷

The irony of using AI to make this graphic is absolutely not lost on us. 😂💀

So let’s talk AI mockups for a sec…

We actually LOVE them. They’re a great way to show us the vibe, colors, theme, layout, or overall idea you have in your head — so PLEASE keep sending them!

BUTTTT… we’ve learned the hard way that AI has absolutely no concern for whether two real-life women can actually hand paint what it just created. 😂 It will throw in 47 tiny details, impossible fonts, weird shading and elements that apparently require a degree from the Sistine Chapel.

So going forward, we won’t be agreeing to exactly recreate AI-generated mockups.

Instead, send us the AI inspo and let us do what we do best: take the idea, simplify or adjust what needs adjusting, add our KC touch, and turn it into something we can actually hand paint beautifully. 🎨🫶🏼

Basically:

AI gets to dream it up.
KC has to figure out how the hell to paint it. 😂

And we’d like to keep what little sanity we have left.
