Quick behind-the-scenes look at a new product we’re working on, debuting in a few months. I’d love to hear about your workflow—drop a comment below with what’s working for you.

One of my current processes: I’m out in the field picking up business cards and leads the old-school way. From there, I manually enter everything into Google Sheets, organize it, export it as a CSV, and import it into a custom CRM we’re developing at Origin Websites.

In this video, I walk through the real process step-by-step.

And to keep it honest—I hit an unexpected result during testing today. The import failed… surprise, it’s a bug.

I left it in on purpose.

Because this is what building real systems actually looks like.

The fix is already in, and I’ll be reshooting tomorrow to show the corrected workflow and how we’re tightening things up moving forward.

The goal: faster, cleaner lead management—and eventually removing manual steps altogether. Think contact forms and lead gen funnels feeding directly into the Origin Websites CRM.

New Project Update #1 — We’re currently “rubber ducking” a platform built for small businesses that are tired of running everything on post-it notes, texts, and scattered systems. The goal is simple: organize your sales pipeline, manage customers and projects, handle invoicing, send payment reminders, and bring everything into one place. It’s designed to be flexible, with custom modules tailored to how your business actually operates, not how software thinks you should operate. More to come soon, and we’ll be looking for a few early testers.

Feeling nostalgic - I’ve had the chance to watch grow from the local skate scene days at Whittier Skate Park into someone working on an incredible range of projects across skateboarding, music, and multiple creative genres.

That mix of real culture and professional experience shows in the work.

Give a follow and consider collaborating if you’ve got a project that needs creativity with authentic roots.

On my end, I am thinking about developing a referral program, or some way to benefit creative minds for years to come. Why does lifetime commissions need to be mostly gated to salespersons of insurance, or beauty products. Keep a look out, hope to get some programs written up and tested out.

Getting tea with my wife is a favorite activity we do often and ever since we discovered we make short trip over to their store at least once a week. The owners are great and we really love their drinks. Favorite for me is the passion orange green tea aloe, just nothingg else like it anywhere!
