A lot can happen in five days around here.

Shoots, client meetings, concepts, content, edits, launches, approximately 700 tabs open…it’s busy.

Not pictured: our design team behind the scenes NOT in our office who continually create masterpieces. Like our Art Director Will Johnson who has been editing photos all week for a global campaign launch.

He is one of many who produce the amazing work coming out of The Brand5 every week. They are behind the designs, details, revisions, problem-solving and all the little things that take an idea from we should do this to actually out in the world.

It takes a village and we are proud of ours.

Years ago, I asked for a raise and was told I didn’t have the experience or the degree.

So I started building something of my own.

And little by little, client by client, idea by idea, The Brand5 became something bigger than I ever could have built alone. That’s the part I’m proudest of.

The businesses we’ve watched grow. The risks our clients have trusted us to take.
The team we have built. The relationships that started as projects and became friendships. The people who have believed in us from the beginning - and the ones who found us somewhere along the way.

So yes, the nomination is cool. But the people behind it? That’s what means the most.

And to every business owner doing great work without a nomination, a headline, or a round of applause, I hope you know your work matters, too.

There’s a lot worth celebrating that never comes with an award. I’m just really grateful we get to keep building alongside all of you. 🤍

Branding you can feel > branding that just looks good.

Before someone reads your copy, knows your story, or understands what you sell, your imagery has already told them something.

A mood. A feeling. A point of view.

That’s what great brand imagery does.

It doesn’t just show people what your brand looks like. It gives them a sense of what it’s like to experience it.

Because people might forget the perfect photo. But they remember how a brand made them feel.

First you’re “weird.” Then suddenly you’re “creative.” ✨

Here’s your reminder: normal has never made anything worth talking about.

The weird ideas. The random thoughts. The “wait… hear me out” moments. The concepts that make people raise an eyebrow before they make them pay attention - THAT’S where the good s**t lives.

Creativity is thinking outside the box…

Because fitting in is wildly overrated. 🫡

A campaign should do more than show the product. It should tell us why we should care about it.

Love of Character launched their new magazine and we partnered with them to build the visual campaign around one big idea: girlhood. 💛

The friendships. The color. The confidence. The accessories. The school-day energy.

The perfectly imperfect moments that make the whole thing feel like girlhood.

Because when you’re launching something new…pretty photos aren’t enough.

Your creative should build a world around the product, tell a story your audience can step into, and give them something to remember.

That’s the difference between shooting content and building a campaign.

Wait until the end… the crowd goes wild. 🎉

We spend our days making sure other brands get seen, heard, and recognized. So when the tables turn, it feels different.

To whoever nominated The Brand 5 for Best of Wichita - Marketing Agency: thank you. Seriously.

This team grinds. We care deeply about the work, push the hell out of each other, and genuinely love what we get to do every day.

We’ve never chased recognition. We chase great work, big ideas, and wins for the brands that trust us.
