Pay full price. Leave a Google review. Tell two people about them.

That's it. That's the whole playbook.For a trades business, a five star review isn't just nice to have. It's the difference between getting the call or losing it to the competitor who has more of them.

If your phone isn't ringing enough, here's where to start.

First, look at your presence. Is your page active? Does it show your work, your process, who you are? If someone looked you up right now would they feel confident calling you?

Second, look at your reach. Are you showing up in front of new people or just the ones who already know you? Organic alone won't cut it. You need ads working for you.

Third, look at your follow up. When a lead comes in how fast are you responding? How many are slipping through because there's no system to catch them?

Fix those three things and the pipeline changes.

When two plumbers show up to give a quote and one has a clean brand, strong reviews, and a professional presence, the other one gets asked to come down on price.

Perception is part of the product. If your marketing looks cheap, your price will too.

Charge what you're worth. Then build a brand that backs it up.

What it looks like when the right marketing is in place.

The phone rings before you have to chase anything.

You know where your leads are coming from. You know what's working and what's not. You're not throwing money at ads and hoping for the best.

Your page looks active. Your ads are targeting the right people in the right areas. And when someone lands on your profile they already feel like they know you before they reach out.

You stop selling and start selecting. Choosing the right jobs. The right clients. The right growth.

That's what marketing is supposed to do for a trades business. Not just keep you busy. Keep you growing.

How organic content and paid ads work together as a system.

Organic content builds trust over time. It shows your work, your crew, your process. It answers questions before they're asked. It makes you familiar.

Paid ads create urgency and reach. They put you in front of people who don't follow you yet but need exactly what you offer.
When someone sees your ad and then checks your page and finds consistent content that backs it up, the decision to call gets a lot easier.

One without the other leaves money on the table. Together they create a pipeline that runs consistently instead of drying up every few months.

That's not a system. That's hope.Word of mouth is great until a slow season hits and the phone stops ringing.

The real flex is a business that doesn't have to wait. One that can turn on leads whenever it needs them because the system is already built.

Why most trades businesses are invisible online even when they're great at what they do.

Being good at the job is not enough anymore.

Homeowners don't ask neighbors for recommendations first.
They go online. They search. They scroll. They compare.

If you're not showing up in that process you don't exist to them. Doesn't matter how many years you've been in business or how solid your reputation is in person.

The trades businesses that stay invisible are the ones that rely on that reputation alone and never build a presence that works while they're on the job site.

Your work is great. Make sure people can actually find it.
