Hey!

It’s been a little quiet around here since vacation, and then I hit the ground running the second I got back (maybe 6 sessions in one weekend was a little ambitious 🤪), so I thought it would be fun to do a little “get to know me” for anyone new here.

I’m the girl behind the name and camera. I’ve always loved photography and documenting stories, but I never imagined it would grow into what it is today.

My husband and I have worked in full-time ministry for almost 13 years, wearing what feels like every hat imaginable. Along the way, we taught ourselves design, video, photography, and more. We’ve been blessed to use those creative skills both in ministry and in passion projects that fuel us creatively and give back to our community.

Over the years we’ve photographed airplanes for Amazon, captured weddings and elopements across several states, worked with hospitals and local businesses, and many other kinds of random, fun creative work.

I also homeschool our two kids, which is something I’m deeply passionate about and grateful to do.

So when I’m not with my kids or working on projects at church, you’ll usually find me driving to random parks to hang out with all of you… or hiding in my cave (aka my home office) editing away.

People often describe my work as nostalgic, candid, warm, and moody. I’m also kind of known for my work in Hocking Hills, Ohio. I did one elopement there, fell in love with the area, TikTok found it, and it completely changed my business. I still photograph families locally in southwest Ohio, but most of my calendar is now reserved for elopements and micro weddings.

Why photography though?

Nearly 10 years ago, we almost lost my husband to a freak health event. Overnight, life became very fragile and very precious. Stroke survivors and families living with invisible disabilities understand how much it changes everyday life.

Because of that experience, I see photography differently. Every image I capture — the big moments and the ordinary ones — is tangible proof of how beautiful it is to live and love on this side of Heaven.

Hey friends! 👋🏼

I’ve posted in my stories a couple of times but wanted to leave a little reminder on here too! My family and I are on vacation through May 6th! What a gift it was to capture Grant & Rileigh’s wedding day. I’ve had the honor of watching Grant grow up over the past 8 years, and now I get to see him step into the role of husband and father—which is just really special. I’ve known Rileigh nearly just as long, and her sweet smile and energy have always been something I looked forward to at summer camp every year.
I’m just so, so happy for these two and can’t wait to watch them step into this next chapter of life…together 🤍

And a special shoutout to Julia Tolliver / photography for stepping in and associate shooting the first part of the day so I could be with family for a funeral—so incredibly grateful for you 🫶

I’m behind on this, I apologize! I have loved offering picture day the last couple of years for local homeschool families or those wanting an alternative option and i wanted to wait til it was a little warmer to them so I could offer them outside!

How are we feeling with the canvas backdrop? Or should we do without it? My kids already changed clothes or else I would have given you an idea of both 😂

May do a few pop up slots this weekend and maybe again some in May if there’s enough interest!
