A Stroll Across The Sand & Waves.
I love this little access in the mornings as I walk along the short path out to the water. The fragrant aroma of flowers, salt air and sand waft through my nostrils, making their way into my heart and lungs as a smile shimmers across my face. This spot, softly placed between a hotel and a fence, seems to hold a special sort of energy that I have not yet figured out why. It is oftentimes quiet in the mornings and I find myself anticipating where God will lead me to find another heart-shaped seashell. They are my reminders of the first time He led me to that heart-shaped rock resting gently on the deep red Arizona Navajo dirt as He firmly planted in my heart the words ... "Stay Close To Me." I will never forget the love that pierced my tired, sad and stubborn soul, bringing an eager incredulous grin to my face as I knew He had to get me to that point, so I would listen to Him. My path has never been the same since.
Now, as I walk down the beach, I look down to see the cracked seashells and the tears will choke in my throat as I feel His words, "I love you and have a marvelous life created just for you, as my Son will walk with you through joy, fear, pain, exhilaration, loss and gain... "Are You Ready?" I will leave a warning here, when God asks if you are ready, No is not the answer. He will never ask unless He knows you are ready, even if you fear you are not. So I answer a timid yet resounding YES and hang on for the ride. The words echo in my soul ... "Come away with me, It's never too late, I have a plan for you, It's gonna be wild, It's going to be great, It's going to be full of me!"
And it always has been thus far. It only requires a life changing decision ... to always root my identity in Jesus and who He has made me and nothing else!
