Sometimes we’re the heron.

Head down. Focused. Navigating the winds. Trusting our wings even when we’re not quite sure where we’ll land.

This latest mixed-media painting was inspired by the quiet strength and elegance of the great blue herons that call our coastal marshes home. Watching them reminds me that progress doesn’t always look perfect—it looks like movement.

Inspired by Our Neighborhood Pier 🇺🇸

Just in time for summer.

This original watercolor was inspired by the view from our neighborhood pier—a place where sunsets linger a little longer, seabirds ride the breeze, and Old Glory reminds us of the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

As we gather for beach days, boat rides, backyard cookouts, and sunset strolls, may we never forget those who served, sacrificed, and continue to protect the liberties we enjoy every day.

Freedom isn’t just found in history books. It’s found in quiet moments like these—watching the sun dip below the water, feeling the salt air, and appreciating the blessings of home.
