Day 3: A Gold Necklace Display ✨
I’m currently working on a 30-day watercolor challenge — painting one everyday thing each day to expand my creativity and sharpen my skills. The goal isn’t perfection, but practice, patience, and to be less intimidated by painting.
Today’s piece is a gold necklace display. I especially enjoyed experimenting with color mixing to capture the distressed gold effect and playing with negative space to let the form define the object. I enjoyed the simple forms of this object and I was surprised how well it turned out.
This post is arriving a little behind schedule (video editing learning curve 🌀), but the practice continues, and that’s what matters most.
🎥 Timelapse is in the first carousel — swipe to see the full piece. My reference photo is included.
