I have always been mesmerized by fog. The feeling of being inside of a cloud feels magical in a way. All of these water particles just suspended in air, altering our view of what's right in front of us.
And while most people think of fog as a nuisance and something that blocks our vision, water particles scatter light. They become a natural diffuser, allowing us to see the world differently.
For example, this beautiful network of trees in my backyard becomes alive with fog limiting my vision. Nothing but light and water droplets to highlight this miracle of nature, this network of life suspended in the air. What a beautiful gift to experience on the day we spring forward.

When I started my journey as a business owner, there were so many conversations around being burnt out and tired. Everyone around me seemed to just be keeping afloat- many times myself included.
Learning how to give yourself space takes time. What does "space" even mean? Often, finding the balance and flow, which there truly isn't a one-size-fits all.
These beautiful drums have truly helped me keep myself in balance. Every morning I open a meditation with them. It's a ritual, at this point. My day doesn't begin without it. I've even begun bringing drumming into branding sessions to help keep our conversations grounded.
What's magical is that I don't feel as if I've lost time by setting aside 1 hour everyday. I feel energized by it, more prepared for the day ahead.
Eventually I'll reveal the story of Honey, a beautiful drum on the top left crafted by the incredible .ritual.arts
But for now, I wanted to say that if I've been quiet, it's because I've been manifesting a lot of new beautiful things to come. And I can't wait to share them with you all ✨

This photograph was placed within a box on my desk with a note that I wrote. On January 11th, 2024 I wrote:
"I will manifest more understanding in myself & find a future that feels fulfilling in my career. I will work hard to learn everything that is required to set on this new path and devote myself to being able to utilize all of my knowledge to give myself a life I deserve"

This was the first real intention that I had ever set.

Months went by with this little box on my desk, as I woke up everyday exhausted from spending hours of my life even just traveling to a day job. My heart hurt every time I had to design an advertisement to sell meat products - a lifestyle that I was taught was the right path. Get a 9-5, work it, get benefits, save for retirement, live exhausted and burnt out.

Honestly, I forgot about what I put in this box. But then, I got accepted into a program to accelerate my business. I created connections with people in alignment with me. I designed countless logos and websites that align individuals and their business with the identity that they feel they are inside. When I was offered a job at , I took a giant risk by leaving my day job to pursue it.

I was put in alignment with and , two individuals who created a space for me to learn to show up with intention. I battled a health scare that took all of my time and energy- and found myself on the other side of all of this, more prepared for anything the universe throws my way.

Now, I live a life with the intention of being free of fear. I wake up and meditate before diving into projects that make my heart sing. I make my own schedule- one that doesn't feel overwhelming. I struggle to answer when people ask me "what are you doing this weekend"? because I don't know what the day holds until I wake up in the morning and look at my planner. And every morning, whatever is there feels like a gift.

But most importantly: I am creating art again.

In 2025 I began a healing journey that has left me in a place that is less responsive and more intentional
Instead of choosing to react & run using force, in 2026 I am setting the intention of embracing the path of least resistance.
I can’t individually change our society and the frameworks that create cycles of pain, but I can choose to provide a place for healing and quiet amongst all the noise.
I don’t resonate with the “trends” and overuse of AI, the destructive systems taking my neighbors off the streets, the revoking of voices that need to be heard, the injustice of attempts to erase the validity of my LGBTQ+ community.
But if I move slowly- I can find ways to empower those around me fighting these systems alongside me.

So that’s what I plan to do.

My work is slow. Because healing happens slowly, with intention. Healing happens when we provide space to rewrite our story.

As winter sets in, I'm excited to hibernate and set new intentions for this upcoming year. This year was a whirlwind. I did so much- I launched a business, left multiple jobs, started multiple jobs, helped save a life, healed relationships, and began creating a network of incredible people who I am so grateful to share space with and help! I have designd logos and attended events that made my heart sing.
But as is is nature, it's time for a quiet reset for me. What does that mean? I'm not fully sure yet - I'm inviting a quieter winter to culminate the seeds of what the future holds for Mickey Lee Creative. No, I am not done designing, branding, or building websites. I am however reconsidering what is shared here in this space. It might not be for you, and if so, that's okay. I will always wish you well on your journey, wherever it takes you.
But my hope is that this feed becomes a place of positivity & growth- for indiviuals and brands alike. From the get-go, I have said, we can't show up for our business if we can't show up for ourselves. This year, I fully learned what that means for me. The way that translates into this page is that I'll likely be sharing more of what "showing up for myself" means to me. My hope? Other's will appreciate it too.
I hope you are finding time to slow down and reset as well. Winter calls for us to be still and evaluate, so that in the new year, we can be intentiional with what is grown in the spring.

Happy Samhain - or Happy Halloween, whichever well-wish resonates with you ✨

For years I have dreaded Holidays, whether it be “fun” or “family-focused”, I had difficulty connecting with people on holidays. It’s important for me to take time to rewrite stories of what I always believed holidays were SUPPOSED to be. Instead, I’ve chosen to honor them in ways that feel true to me, and honor the Wheel of the Year, focusing more upon nature’s cycles.

The world currently can feel so heavy, and this year as I learn to create space for myself, I am learning how to focus on holidays in ways that truly resonate with me. So much noise and fear is too much to hold, and so I hope that today you take some time for yourself and your loved one’s, in whichever way resonates with you. Whether it be trick-or-treating, finding community to celebrate, or honoring your ancestors. Make it special for you.

Tomorrow marks a significant day country-wide. Ensure that you are making space for you, in whichever way is needed, so you can show up in the ways that you feel called to.
