It’s the eve of Pride Month and I can’t think of a better way to kick it off than sharing a little sparkle from one of my favorite national nonprofits, It Gets Better. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

As a q***r person who chose Yellow Springs specifically because of its culture of inclusion — and as the volunteer coordinator for Yellow Springs Pride — I am so proud that Antioch College is #1 on this list.

If you know an LGBTQ+ high schooler starting to think about college, or a college student considering a transfer, share this with them. Finding community shouldn’t have to mean moving to a big city, and this resource helps students know what to look for and what to ask.

Crafting truth for PRIDE! Just Be Nice brings a little love to our shelves and taplist starting at noon 🏳️‍🌈

Brewed in celebration of Pride Month, this fruited sour ale warmly welcomes all beer drinkers. Bright, citrusy notes of lime and orange zest, nectarine, juicy mango and a touch of plum round out this refreshingly tart, mimosa-esque beverage! A portion of proceeds will be donated to Yellow Springs Pride to support them in offering comprehensive, community-based services for the LGBTQ+ community of Yellow Springs and the surrounding area. I signed up for a discount. What I got was daily texts, weekly emails and retargeting ads that followed me everywhere.

So I unsubscribed.

Here's the thing: I wanted to hear from them. But the firehose approach didn't make me a loyal customer — it made me an ex-subscriber.
