Hi everyone — I want to share a quick update about the kinds of work I’m able to take on going forward. As you may know, I run a small graphic design business focused on document/signage design, redesign, and replication — mostly non-creative signage, labels, print form layouts, that kind of thing.
Because my full-time employer provides specialized labeling, placard, and signage services for solar, electrical, and other electrical-system installations, I have decided that I will not accept any work from companies or clients that might possibly do business with or have a relationship with businesses in the solar / electrical / PV installation industry.
To be clear, that means I’m declining work from — or new design projects for — companies such as:
-Solar installation contractors or companies involved in photovoltaic or solar-power work
-Electrical contractors, electricians, or firms that do electrical panel or service-panel installations
-Companies that provide or install PV equipment, inverters, solar disconnects, combiner boxes, or similar electrical gear
-Vendors supplying warning labels, placards, signs, or compliance-tags for electrical or solar installations
-Any business that designs or sells safety signage, code-compliant labels, or regulatory placards for solar/electrical use
Because my employer already offers — among many things — custom solar and electrical-safety labels, placards, aluminum signs, arc-flash / AC-disconnect / PV-system signage, and other code-compliant marking services, I feel it’s best to avoid even potential conflicts of interest or overlap.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to anyone who might have otherwise reached out, and I appreciate your understanding. If you’re unsure whether this limitation applies to your situation — or if you’d just like to chat more about it — please feel free to message me.
Thanks for your support.
