this is one of them.

My baby…

And not just that—
1 of 3 meritorious Gunnys in the entire Corps.

I don’t even have the words to explain the pride I feel.
The sacrifices.
The discipline.
The man he has become.

I still see the little boy…
but today, I see the Marine.

Before you even read the first page,
you’d flip to the back and look at the names.

Who had this before me?
Was it someone I knew?
Someone I liked… or didn’t? 😅

It felt like a quiet little connection to people you’d never meet.

And now here I am…
writing my own story instead of just reading everyone else’s.

Maybe that’s your sign too—
to start documenting your moments, your memories, your life…

because one day,
those little pieces become your story 🤍

I had a moment today…

the kind that makes you stop everything for a second.

And all I could think was—
I need to grab this journal
and start writing things down…

the memories, the moments, the little things I don’t ever want to forget.

Because the truth is…
tomorrow just isn’t promised.

We get so caught up in the busy,
in the routine,
in thinking there will always be more time.

But the moments we think are “just another day”…
those are the ones that end up meaning the most.

So maybe today is the day we slow down a little…

take the picture,
write the memory,
say the words.

Because one day…

we’ll wish we had.

OMG… tell me you remember Mrs. Beasley 🥹💗

I LOVED her… like LOVED her.

My sister had Holly Hobbie…
and I had my Mrs. Beasley.

And let me just say…

my sister knew exactly how much I loved that doll 😒

So what did she do?

👉 Hid her from me
👉 OR… gave her to the dog to chew on 😳

I’m not even kidding 😂

There was one time my poor Mrs. Beasley ended up in a full-on tug of war with the family dog…
and my mom had to literally sew her arm back on.

SHE WAS A SURVIVOR 🤣

Now listen… I thought about getting even and doing the same thing to her Holly Hobbie…

…but she was older than me…

and let’s just say…

she was a little crazier than I was 😅

So me and Mrs. Beasley just learned to sleep with one eye open 👀😂

Not to stay there—
but to remember.

The people.

We move so fast sometimes…
chasing what’s next, building what’s ahead…

that we forget to pause and honor what was.

Who we were.
What we’ve been through.
How far we’ve actually come.

Because before tomorrow arrives…

there was a whole story that made you who you are today.

And that story?

It still matters 🤍
