A few days ago, I sent an email mentioning something we’ve been seeing a lot in the studio lately: people creating their logos or icons with AI, only to find they are low-resolution and pixelate when printed. I offered to take a 5-minute professional look to provide a free diagnostic... and to be honest, the response surprised me.
We evaluated a lot of cases. Many people asked for vectorization because, while they were happy with their images, they needed to print them on catalogs, outdoor signage, or embroider them on uniforms—and the image simply wouldn't scale: it blurred or lost its colors. Now, those clients can rest assured that their brand is scalable, from a small profile picture to a giant banner, without errors.
To another clients group, we even worked on adding "extra touches" to improve the image and provide that human touch that AI just can't offer. I got the sense that some didn't want to deal with the typical "I did this with AI and it didn't turn out quite right" situation.
Personally, I think the problem isn't using AI, but the results that often fall short, both graphically and technically. It doesn’t provide scalable or editable files; maybe it will at some point, but for now, it’s a headache for those who want to take their brands into the physical world with the best quality.
