It took almost two decades, but I got the view I dreamed about. Goals don’t expire. They just a bit longer thatn we anticiapte.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
No legit client:
• asks you to pay to work
• avoids real contact
• promises wild pay for little work
• refuses to sign an agreement/contract
Do your due diligence.

I have never started a proposal from scratch.
I have a template with my core things and replace the number or any special add-ons. Faster follow-up = more closed clients.

Manifestation is cute, but so is putting your head down and working your way to the thing you dreamed about 18 years ago.

Part of your templates should be a list of:
• questions clients will ask
• how you’ll answer them
Confidence comes from preparation, not personality.

I didn’t chase luxury. I chased peace. And 18 years later, I found it with a laptop and a lake view.

Very few types of clients expect perfection. The ones I enjoy working with want professionalism & need reliability.
Have these ready before client calls:
• discovery questions
• proposal template
• contract
• onboarding checklist
Prep kills procrastination.

I once said I wanted to write by a lake. I said it as a dream. I live it as a life. Stay with it.

Your walk-away rate isn’t about what clients will pay.
It’s about what makes it worth showing up for you.
If it’s a “maybe,” the answer is no.

The dream isn’t wrong.
The timeline is.
Two-hour workdays come *after* the 12-hour hustle, not before it.
Keep going. It gets better but not without work.

I have a long term client that I charge an addt'l $1,000 a mo to attend 2 evening board meetings per month.
I listen. Take notes. Transcribe and send recaps.
Sometimes the meetings are cancelled.
Sometimes the meetings last 30 min. Sometimes 3 hrs.
But regardless I have to block those days which means I cannot do anything else. Thats a cost.
Retainers aren’t about control.
They’re about consistency.
Clients pay more for:
• priority
• reliability
• access
That’s value.
