Mapalad ang bansa na ang Dios ay ang Panginoon; ang bayan na kaniyang pinili sa ganang kaniyang sariling mana. Ang Panginoon ay tumitingin mula sa langit; kaniyang minamasdan ang lahat na anak ng mga tao; Mula sa dakong kaniyang tahanan ay tumitingin siya sa lahat na nangananahan sa lupa.

Siyang naghuhugis ng mga puso nilang lahat, na nagmamasid sa lahat nilang mga gawa. Walang hari na nakaliligtas sa pamamagitan ng karamihan ng hukbo: ang makapangyarihang tao ay hindi naliligtas sa pamamagitan ng malaking kalakasan. Ang kabayo ay walang kabuluhang bagay sa pagliligtas: ni hindi niya iniligtas ang sinoman sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang malaking kalakasan.

Narito, ang mata ng Panginoon ay nasa kanila na nangatatakot sa kaniya, sa kanila na nagsisiasa sa kaniyang kagandahang-loob; Upang iligtas ang kaniyang kaluluwa sa kamatayan, at upang ingatan silang buhay sa kagutom. Hinintay ng aming kaluluwa ang Panginoon: siya'y aming saklolo at aming kalasag. Sapagka't ang aming puso ay magagalak sa kaniya, sapagka't kami ay nagsitiwala sa kaniyang banal na pangalan. Sumaamin nawa ang iyong kagandahang-loob, Oh Panginoon, ayon sa aming pagasa sa iyo.

God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne (Psalm 47:8).

No matter what the outcome of the election is, we can have peace in the truth that whoever will be elected, that person‘s heart is in the hand of the Lord, He will be the one to direct it like a watercourse wherever He pleases (Proverbs 21:1). For many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand (Prov. 19:21). He has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all (Psalm 103:19).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, it says in your word that you promise to generously give wisdom to those who ask. Right now, we are asking in faith for wisdom to help us with our decisions, that we will be good stewards of our vote this elections. Open our hearts and our minds to see what we cannot see. May your peace reign in our hearts and may we choose to do what pleases you.

All these we ask, in the name of Jesus.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9).

We may have plans already set to accomplish this year or in the next couple of years. A checklist of goals which we are excited to achieve within a specific time frame. But what if, these plans do not turn out the way we expect them to be?

In this life, we will surely encounter some detours or maybe new paths with a process that could be beyond what we can comprehend. Yet despite these things, we know that we can be at peace because Someone whose thoughts and ways are higher than us is sovereign over our lives!

If it is His will, we know that it is going to be good, pleasing and perfect in the end. As He shows us the way forward, there is just one thing we need to do:

Trust.

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
