Interpersonal relations are a set of interactions between people.
These relations are predominantly based on the ties that exist between members of society through various types of communication: primarily visual (or nonverbal ties, which include both appearance and body movements, gestures), linguistic (spoken language), affective, as well as languages constructed as a result of the development of complex societies (economic, political, etc.).
Human relations are fundamental to individual intellectual development, since through them both small and simple societies (such as the village) and large and complex societies (such as the megalopolis) are formed. Human relations imply a connection between at least two individuals.
The maximum number of permanent social ties a person can comfortably maintain is called Dunbar's number. This number ranges from 100 to 230, most often considered to be 150.
