I was casually strolling through my IG feed and I came across this Google Ads ad on Instagram.

If Google has their own advertising platform, why would they advertise on Instagram? There are many answers to this but I’ll just outline 3;

1. This could be a retargeting ad: I have visited Google Ads so much that they simply just “followed” me to IG just to stay top of mind. Always remember that if people continually see your ad, they will be inclined to take action.

2. There are a lot of business owners on IG. So, simply put Google is meeting their customers where they are. Notice the ad say “Achieve your goals with Google ads by reaching new customers…”? Google ads is letting business owners know that they can achieve more and that is what every business owner likes to hear.

3. Google Ads is a business that understands that advertising across multiple platforms where your prospects are increases visibility and brand awareness thereby turning them in to customers.

So yes, Google Advertises too and you should.
