One of my most recent projects (and one of my favorites) was helping create the logo and visual style for my wonderful girlfriend's business, Vintage Perfect Design. It's a wonderful blog and business all about vintage fashions and sustainable living. Instead of going for something with an illustration element, I took inspiration from various fashion brands and the way they present themselves. Dior, Prada, Chanel, Giorgio Armani; all of these iconic fashion labels use the simplicity of their name in a distinct font as the centerpiece for their brand. This simple approach allows them to transplant their logo onto any season, any trend, while maintaining a certain consistency. Take a look at this album to learn more about my process and how these same methods can be applied to any company or brand.

Thank you to everyone who has started following my page! I was trying to think of which design to share here first, and finally landed on the logo I made for a podcast that my friend Greg and I started a few years ago. I wanted to give it a little bit of a retro look with the off kilter quadrilateral shape and the fun spiral design making up the background. For the color scheme I was trying to find a simple primary and white palette that didn’t look like something you would find in an elementary school. Going with a navy, maroon, mustard yellow, and cream palette with charcoal gray outlining gave me the bold look I wanted without becoming too bright when viewed on a screen. I added some little silhouette versions of Greg and myself to add a little personality to the finished piece.

I had a lot of fun developing this logo, as I had free reign to do whatever I wanted with it as it was for a personal project with no set visual theme. I’ll post a few of the sketches I did when developing this design as soon as I can find whichever scrap of paper they ended up on. 😅

After years of making logos and designs for friends, family, and various businesses/organizations, I've decided to create a way for people to purchase my design services. Whether its a logo for your business, and event, or a personal blog or project, I can help create a cohesive style and branding to make whatever it is stand out!
