Design isn’t just a career, it’s a way of life ✨

What I love about design is that it’s not just the visual aesthetics of brands, marketing, nor decor… it’s a problem solving tool 🔎

It delves into looking at the problem, connecting to others (or in this case, yourself) authentically, conducting needed research, and creating a unique solution to help solve the issue at hand.

And it’s not always fun and pretty like a Pinterest board or moodboard. It can be difficult and messy.

One of my graphic design professors in college had this beautiful analogy that I still think about to this day.

Design is like playing with a ball of clay or mud. It’s about getting down in it, getting your hands dirty, and continuously sculpting it until you find the solution. And often what you originally intended is not always the final masterpiece.

Designing your life can be messy and difficult, but it is well worth it in the end to create something beautiful and fulfilling.

Just know that we are constantly changing and designing, and that you are not alone in the process.
