The first processors for the iPhone were made by Samsung
Despite the competition and constant disputes, even in court, Samsung and Apple were very important partners at one time. Samsung does produce processors for the iPhone. Recently, Apple has been trying to reduce its dependence on a competitor. For example, both Samsung and TSMC chips were used in the iPhone 6s. However, starting with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the South Korean company has already had to abandon the components.
