Suddenly in 2019, I found myself ending a relationship I thought I wasn’t going to end. I found myself unemployed, single, forced to move out of where I was living during that relationship & shortly after move across state lines to live in parent’s guest room. I wasn't able to make ends meet. I was depressed, too anxious to leave the house & was stuck ‘bed rotting’ every day. 🫠

I was wanting so much more out of life, but at the same time felt so lost. I was lonely, had no passion to follow or goals to move towards & ultimately just felt like a total piece of sh**. 💩

I tried nearly every possible way to make money & pick myself back up — from applying to local 9-5s, to DoorDashing, to babysitting to moving to the online space — selling health & wellness products like supplements, shakes, makeup….etc. to selling courses, to selling tarot readings, to reselling clothes through apps like Poshmark and Depop….etc. You name it, I tried it. Or considered it. 🙃

Then, in 2021, I found Sam — the amazing 7-fig mentor that I have now who is teaching me how to replicate her results for myself with the help of high ticket affiliate marketing. Being a part of her team & an active community of entrepreneurs doing the same thing has helped change my life in so many ways! ⬇️

Now, nearly 4 years later, I am no longer living in survival mode. I am happier & healthier than I've ever been. I am actively working to pay off all of my debt I accrued being unemployed. I am back in school pursuing my rediscovered passion for nursing, and I was able to reconnect with my childhood passion and re-enter the dance field for professional training. I'm also in progress of achieving a life long goal of living in the city (the universe decided Chicago). 🤩

Have you heard of "bedtime procrastination"? 🤯

According to psychology, bedtime procrastination, also known as sleep procrastination, is when you delay going to bed or staying up later than intended.

This can happen for a variety of reasons like a busy schedule, stress, or the use of electronic devices before bed.

One of the main reasons for bedtime procrastination is the use of electronic devices like smartphones or laptops before bed.

The blue light emitted by these devices can mess with your body's natural sleep-wake cycle, making it harder to fall asleep.

Plus, the constant notifications and social media updates can be distracting, making it hard to relax before bed.

Another common reason for bedtime procrastination is stress.

When we're feeling stressed or anxious, it can be hard to relax and fall asleep.

This is because stress activates the body's fight or flight response, releasing hormones that can keep us awake.

Bedtime procrastination can have a lot of negative effects on our health, like:

Insomnia - Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep can lead to insomnia, a chronic sleep disorder.

Fatigue - Not getting enough sleep can make you feel tired and groggy during the day.

Poor concentration - Lack of sleep can affect your ability to focus and concentrate.

Increased risk of accidents - Drowsy driving and other accidents can happen when you don't get enough sleep.

Negative impact on mental health - Chronic sleep deprivation can increase the risk of depression and anxiety.

To overcome bedtime procrastination, it's important to establish a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine. 💯

This can include activities like reading, meditation, or yoga to help you relax before bed.

Also, it's important to avoid the use of electronic devices at least an hour before bed and to create a dark and quiet environment for sleeping.

It's important to remember that everyone's sleep needs are different, so listen to your body and establish a sleep schedule that works for you.

With a little bit of planning and effort, you can overcome bedtime procrastination and improve the quality of your sleep.
