The family of aspids includes 2 subfamilies: cobras and sea snakes, 61 genera and 347 species. In appearance, they resemble snakes - they have a slender physique, smooth scales, and shields on the head. The body length varies from 0.4 to 5.5 m. Their body color can be different. For large arboreal and terrestrial individuals, gray, sand, brown, green are most often characteristic. For small ones - a contrasting combination of variegated colors: red, black, orange, yellow.
