MORE SPLASH SESSIONS COMING! August 22 and 29. Bookings open tomorrow! These might be my last splash sessions this year. (If late October cooperates, there's a possibility then.)

Splash sessions on August 1 were SO fun. Many laughs and the dogs all had an absolute blast! More photos to come!

It's awards time again! I'm happy to announce, eight of my images were awarded, one bronze distinction, and the others bronze.

The critiques are attached to each image for anyone who would care for insight. The judges are respected animal photographers from around the world, at the top of the field. They go over these with the closest attention to detail. So while some of the feedback may seem nit picky, it's really what it comes down to for competition. And remember, awards are above and beyond normal, professional photography!

What do these categories mean?

Bronze Distinction

Very high standard of professional practice, craft, skill and technique
Exceeds the normal level expected of professional practice in most areas

Bronze

Very high standard of professional practice, craft, skill and technique
Exceeds the normal level expected of professional practice in some areas

I knew I wanted to re-edit some of the images of Piper at the lavender field. Using some editing techniques I learned recently, here's a before and after. I love how I made the color choices for the background to be cohesive with the tones of her fur in the after image. The sunlight hitting the trees is now the same color as the highlight on her ears. The overall feeling is warmer and more simplified, letting Piper shine through just a bit more.

If you are trying to call my business number 405-355-2453, I apologize, but you will have to do the annoying, stating your name thing for a while. I've been getting so many spam calls, it's interrupting me working. I've put the number on the do not call list now, but until that kicks in, this is my next line of defense. Thanks for your understanding and patience!

*fun stock image, right?!

I wanted to share some shots from a session I did of these cuties recently! This is Roscoe and Noodles. They're two very sweet Doodles that have recently moved to Oklahoma with their family. I think they're a great addition to our state!
