Last Colour Down is a boutique stationery studio based in Dublin 7, Ireland, that focuses on contemporary wedding stationery and event signage for design conscious couples.

Hot tip time!⁠

Be specific about who you are inviting to you wedding. No one wants their cousin to turn up with all their children in tow IF children are not invited / ⁠
⁠
You can do this in a few ways using your stationery by:⁠
💫 printing your guests names (and their plus one if invited) on the invitation⁠
💫 printing your guests names (and their plus one if invited) on the envelope⁠
💫 outlining some more specific information about who is and isn't invited on your details card or website⁠ (this mainly refers to children/babies)

The more specific you can be, the better. It also fields any questions your guests may have around who they can bring.

There is always a polite way to address any issues that you feel may arise, and I'm here to help with wording.⁠

Hot tip time!

Always order a stationery sample or sample pack (if time allows) This one baffles me a lot...you wouldn't order your cake without tasting it, so why order your invitations without seeing a sample first?

Ordering a sample pack has so many advantages:
💫 helps you make decisions on paper types, colour etc
💫 eliminates any worry of the quality of what you are ordering
💫 helps you to understand the different print techniques available

I always advise my couples to order a sample pack, as it helps so much with visualising your invitation suite and how it will look.

First day after holidays done and dusted!

I used to feel so guilty taking time of from my business, but now I realise I NEED time away from it, and not thinking about my business 24/7 is a good thing. It allows me to recharge and soak up more inspiration

These gorgeous custom place names went all the way to France for a chateau wedding for C+S. Digital print on Mid Green, with a die cut full circle.

Happy Friday folks! These two beauts got married just last week at the stunning

Featuring a dreamy combination of blind deboss and digital print on ultra thick crisp white, with a black digital ink details card on earthy green and a cute A7 Day two invite, all in a mid green envelope

Hot tip time!

Don't forget about your on the day stationery when ordering your invitations. While you may not know exactly what you need when you are ordering your invitations, letting your stationer know that you will require some items from them for the big day allows us to plan ahead and ensure that we have made time in our schedule for you.

On the day stationery includes items such as:
💫 menus⁠
💫 table plans
💫 guest place names
💫 welcome signs
💫 order of service or ceremony booklets
💫 any additional signage (cocktail signs, photo signs etc)
💫 any stationery items you think you will need for the day

There is something so luxurious and classic about white on black.

I had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Sandra from to help bring her vision of her business stationery to life

We used the darkest paper I could source, a gorgeous Ebony, and teamed this with white foil for the ultimate contrast. The white ink was applied twice to ensure a bright white coverage...it looks so crisp! She sends these cards with every order, where she handwrites a personal thank you on each one in white pen.

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!

The month of June means that I begin work on weddings taking place in September and October. Golden Hour from my semi-custom Studio Collection has been so popular since it's launch in February. The colours lend themselves so well to an Autumnal wedding and the subtle script font gives a romantic feeling.

These two beauts had their wedding day a few weeks ago, and this was their custom designed Save the Date.

We used a gorgeous paper that was made from 100% recycled pulp, so each and every Save the Date was completely unique. All those gorgeous flecks in the paper shimmer subtly in the light, which added an extra element of surprise for their guests
