Chopsticks, a pair of two long sticks which are identically shaped, have been used as the staple eating utensil ever since Shang Dynasty in China. They are then quickly spread across Asia including Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia.

It is believed that they were invented as a cooking tool instead of an eating tool initially. Japan and Korea have preserved the strongest cultural identity for chopsticks alongside China. Although chopsticks originated from China, chopsticks in these three countries come in different sizes and shapes that serve different purposes.

This book, Twinsticks, will take you back in time to look at the invention of chopsticks as well as its usage and culture in China, Korea and Japan. The book is presented in a modern and minimalist outlook contrasted by raw materials and an old method of Asian book folding called accordion fold. It aims to educate readers on every little thing that people don't generally know about chopsticks.
